1/6/2018 Update:

Bella was ADOPTED!!!!  Bella is the latest Bulldog to join the ranks of NBBR alumnae since she found her forever family.

Bella joined the No Borders Bulldog family a couple of months ago. Like many Bulldogs in Texas she found herself unwanted and for sale online. To say she was a “hot mess” would be the best description.  Bella arrived with a severe UTI and crystals in her urine. She also had an ear infection and if that wasn’t enough she had several mammary tumors. Mammary tumors are common in female dogs that have had many litters of puppies.

Bella actually met her forever family several weeks ago, but had to wait to make it official until she got a clean bill of health and was released from Medical Hold.  It was a long wait for all involved.  While Bella was faithfully taking her antibiotics and eating a new food (to address her urinary crystals) her forever parents were patiently waiting for word she could join their family.  Bella visited the clinic on Friday and got the good news she was ready to go.  Bella will require a special diet to help keep the crystals from reforming but that was not a concern for her parents.  Bella hit the jackpot in that she not only scored a new forever Mom and Dad but she has a new forever fur sibling as well.  Congratulations to Bella and her new forever family.

11/19/2017 Update:  Bella had a “restful” week, but finally got to get out in the cooler weather to meet her new foster brother Tyson!! Since her surgery she is surly coming out of her shell and just wants love!!! She will lay with you all day if you let her, but also likes to sleep in her kennel. She continues to be a model dog, she get along with other dogs from the get go and is really good with cats. She could care less about what the cats are doing, they can walk by her and she doesn’t even care, all she does as they sashay by her is get a little sniff. Bella seeks the love and attention that is apparent  she never got as a breeder dog, and she loves to just be touched. She wants to be by you as much as she can and sometimes if you aren’t paying enough attention to her she will let you know she is there patiently waiting for some loving by nudging your hand. She also has the best bulldog wiggle butt you have ever seen, you will always know when she is happy to see you, that’s for sure!!  Bella will flourish in a home that is full of love and encouragement, oh and one that will let her be the Queen of the house!!! If you are interested in Bella please get on over to our website and get your application filled out, she is waiting on her forever family!

11/5/2017 Update:  I too got the best foster this week that I believe has yet to be officially introduced. She is just a treat to have. We have figured out that she may not know English that well so we are improvising and google translating to test it out!!!! We will keep you up to date on that.

Bella LOVES men. She will follow you to the end of the earth and back. She went to Galveston with us this weekend and was elusive every time the camera came out. She doesn’t like the paparazzi too much.
She ALSO loves Rocky, kids, all people and get this….cats (so far she doesn’t seem interested in them too much) but she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. This girl can work a crowd too, she was around 20 people last night who all fell in love with her!!!!
Pictures to come when she doesn’t run away from the camera, I have about 45 of her butt from this weekend.

11/1/2017 Update:  Please welcome Bella to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family.  Bella is a 3.5 year old female English Bulldog that weighs 55 lbs.

Bella joined the NBBR family as an owner surrender.  The family decided they did not have time for Bella  so they listed her on social media for sale.  A good Samaritan saw the ad and sprung into action. The money was raised, the connection was made and Bella became the newest Bulldog in the NBBR family.

After spending the weekend with her foster family on the beach, Bella had to come back to reality and go to the clinic.  While there Bella was spayed. In addition to her surgery, the staff found that she has an ear infection, several small mammary growths and possible kidney stones.  Bella will be on antibiotics and ear flushes for her ear infection. We will know more about the kidney stones once the lab results are back.

The first thing you notice about Bella is her personality. Bella appears to be good with everyone she meets, both humans and canines.  She is currently in her foster home where she is adjusting well.  She does well in the car and walks well on a leash.  Bella is a very sweet little girl.

Stay tuned for more updates on Ms. Bella as we learn more about her and she begins a new chapter of her life and finds a forever family.
