Bianca

Bianca

Breed: English Bulldog

Sex: Female

Age: 3 years old

Weight: 29 lbs.

10/7/2017 Update:  Bianca was ADOPTED!!!! We are ecstatic to announce Bianca has found her forever home.

Bianca had a very difficult life prior to joining NBBR.  Even though the paperwork we received says she is 3 years old, she appears older. This could be due to her most likely being used as a breeding female, being kept outside in the hot TEXAS summer heat, AND that she was deprived of any veterinary care.  Once rescued, things began to look up for Bianca as she was able to enjoy the good life, she became an indoor dog, she had her own bed and was even able to get on the couch if she wanted.

Bianca’s life changed again yesterday when she hit the JACKPOT and met her new forever family.  She now has a new Mom, Dad, a fur sister (dog) and fur brother (cat).  Bianca’s Mom is a Veterinarian so to say she is an “animal person” might be an understatement.  It is very interesting, when her family was going through the adoption process and got to the Meet and Greet stage they had narrowed it down to two NBBR Bulldogs. After several calls to both foster parents they decided to attend one of our events and meet both and let their hearts tell them which girl was “the one”.  Going into the Meet and Greet the family was leaning towards the other Bulldog, BUT it was Bianca’s chill personality that won her family’s hearts. Actually it was her new fur sister that made the final decision with her seal of approval.  We couldn’t be happier for Bianca, we know she will be spoiled beyond belief and has finally found the life she has deserved all along. Congratulations to Bianca and her entire family.

9/28/2017 Update:   Hey everybody, it’s B. I just wanted to say, life is good…Better than what I thought. I am feeling better and becoming

the bully I was meant to be. I do have a few challenges to go thru but I’m not complaining. My foster momma helps me out by softening my food so I can chew it better. I don’t have my bottom or top front teeth. Maybe I can get some doggy dentures, but for now I do pretty good. I am a pretty quiet lad back little girl. Well compared to my foster siblings. I have got a taste of what it’s like to be inside and don’t really care to be outside. I love my bed, when Hammy is not trying to take it over. I don’t get it we all have our own bed, but he chooses to lay his chunky butt in my little bed. Momma got a little upset with him because he blew out the side of my bed and then she had to sew it up. It’s ok and I really don’t mind because I would rather snuggle up in her lap.

8/27/2017 Update:  Bianca has been a absolute joy ,fun ,loving sweet girl. She is so laid back, minds well, knows how to sit stay and learning out. I have a farly small kitchen so come breakfast and dinner time can get a little wild with Bianca’s foster brothers jumping up and down and running in circles. So I have had to be a little stern on them being in the kitchen when I am preparing their food. After almost falling over them. I have started using the OUT command and super excited that it didn’t take long to pick up. Health wise, Bianca has a little dry eye, and been having some issues with bloating but changing a few things up to help with that. She is done with her ear meds and will take her back in to get them rechecked. Bianca is not been a fan of going outside but with the cooler weather in the evenings she has been enjoy hang out with me on the porch, while her foster brothers run around like crazy clowns.😁

8/9/2017 Update:  Bianca had a pretty uneventful week. She loves her beauty sleep and gets lots of it. Doesn’t seem to get to excited about much except for when I walk thru the door. She has the most cutest Clydesdale prance when she gets excited. Still not to interested in her toys would rather sit in my lap and lick me to death. Which does not bother me a bit. She is just a sweet loving happy go lucky little girl. Continuing on meds for her tummy (parasites) and yeast infection with ears. Seems o be a little better, but now we are battling with a case of diarrhea. Which is being treated. Bianca loves to run up her ramp to get in the bed and will for sure let you know when it’s time for bed.

8/7/2017 Update:  Bianca is doing great. Have had a little problems with ears, but saw Dr H last week ,been doing the ear flushes and meds prescribed which seem to be helping. She is such a happy, sweet, calm, laid back little girl. Nothing to much seems to bother her to much except for having to go outside. Darts out to take care of business and darts right back in. She doesn’t like to be anywhere by herself. She will follow me everywhere instead of hanging out with her foster brothers. Doesn’t really care for her leash but not a big worry because like I said she barley let’s me out of her sight. Completely pottied trained. She is not crate trained, sleeps in the bed with me and 2 others.Does not have any horrible habits like chewing up or on things she’s not suppose to . Can get really excited at time and somewhat playful at times but not to often. Loves her baths and will pretty much let you do whatever you need to do without a fuss. Clean her ears, eyes, folds and feet. Still working on her being so timid.

7/17/2017 Update:  Bianca has come out of her shell, she is such a sweet fun loving cuddle bug. The best snuggling partner ever. She has been doing well with any medical issues she might had when first coming to us. Eats well, definitely sleeps well. Bianca is not real big on toys or going outside, . She does her business outside and is ready to come back in. Plays well with other dogs, and doesn’t seem to be bothered by the cat. She will have a check up on Friday.

6/15/2017 Update:   Please welcome Bianca to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue Family.  Bianca is a female English Bulldog that weighs 29 lbs.

Bianca joined the NBBR family as an owner surrender.  Bianca was yet another Bulldog for sale to the highest bidder on Craigslist.  A good Samaritan rescued Bianca from her horrible situation and called NBBR to ask if we would help find her a forever home. Actually Bianca was part of a “twofer”.  When looking at pictures of Bianca, it was discovered she was living outside with a “friend”, a small white Pug.  The good Samaritan couldn’t bear to leave the Pug, so she was able to get both.  (The Pug went to our friends at DFW Pug Rescue).  Bianca had recently had a puppy and was living outside drinking nasty, green water out of an old bucket.

When Bianca went to her temporary foster home, it was noted her belly was very distended and her breathing was labored. We weren’t sure if it was because she had been living in the 90+ degree heat, she had a major health issue or what exactly was happening. We decided to monitor her to see if things improved. If things didn’t improve, she would be taken to an Emergency Vet. Bianca was put in a crate to rest with a fan on her to allow her to cool down.  Her breathing did improve and she was able to rest comfortably the rest of the night. A strange thing happened when Bianca awoke the next morning,  her belly was no longer distended. (We think the owner may have fed her a HUGE meal to camouflage the fact that she is severely underweight). Bianca’s temporary foster Mom was able to bathe her, clean her ears and get rid of the fleas she was covered in.

The next day Bianca stopped by the clinic to get a complete check-up, vaccinations, and was tested for both Heartworms and intestinal parasites. Everyone (volunteers and clinic staff) was pleasantly surprised when Bianca test Heartworm NEGATIVE.  She does however have intestinal worms, a skin infection and an eye infection.  The good news is all of these things can be treated.  Today she was spayed and started on the necessary antibiotics to get rid of her infections and parasites.

Even after all the poor treatment Bianca has received from humans, she loves EVERYBODY. She is a complete snuggle bug. She gets along with other dogs and didn’t seem to be phased by the cats at the clinic.  Bianca will be joining her new foster family tomorrow morning where she will begin to relax and heal.  Once released from Medical hold, Bianca will be looking for a forever home that will give her the love and attention she has always deserved.  Does that sound like your family? Do you have room in your heart and home for an adorable Bulldog? If so, complete an adoption application!!!
