8/12/2017 Update: Clara was ADOPTED!!! We are so happy to announce Clara has found her forever family.

Clara recently joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. The last several months have been somewhat hectic for Clara. She was rescued from a home by a good Samaritan before her family could take her to a shelter. Unfortunately, after several months it was apparent that it was too chaotic for the family as they already had several dogs. Clara joined the NBBR family and joined her foster family after being spayed and getting all the necessary treatments she needed. It was quickly determined Clara was just the sweetest Bulldog you could ever meet. She gets along with kids, other dogs and even cats.

Clara’s forever family had started the process to become an approved adoptive family with NBBR several months ago. They were waiting for “the one” that spoke to the family. As soon as they saw Clara, something pulled at their heart strings. Their hearts were so drawn to Clara that they drove over two hours to an NBBR event just to meet her. While at the event Clara used her charms and got rave reviews from the entire family. The only uncertainty: would Lilly (their English Bulldog) want a new sister? A Meet and Greet was scheduled and guess what??? Lilly said yes, she would gladly accept Clara as a new sister and as they say the rest “is history”. Clara hit the jackpot with her forever family. She has four human siblings, a fur sibling and a Mom and Dad. Congratulations to Clara and the entire family.

8/7/2017 Update: Clara had an easy night for her first night here. Her and Freckles did great. She doesn’t really care for my male pitbull. It’ll take some getting used to for her I’m sure. She lets you know when she needs to potty and slept well in the room by herself. I didn’t kennel her last night because I felt it might have been to much. I left the kennel door open and when I got up she was sleeping inside. She’s a little scared when you go to pet her but once she knows you’re not going to hurt her she’s fine. Today she is settling in to the lazy bulldog life well.

7/27/2017 Update: Please welcome Clara to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. Clara is a 6 year old female Bulldog weighing 46 lbs.

Clara was taken in a few months ago by a woman in east Texas when her owners were planning to dump her at the shelter. This woman took Clara home and gave her lots of love. She soon realized, however, that a third dog with two young children was too much. She wasn’t giving Clara all of the attention that she knew Clara deserved. She reached out to a fellow rescue friend for help, who then contacted NBBR. And, of course, we jumped into action.

One of our volunteers drove to east Texas this morning to pick up Clara. It is very apparent Clara has had several litters. Clara is also very skinny and has some skin issues. Clara’s first stop was the clinic for a complete checkup. Clara is also scheduled to have her spay surgery tomorrow.

Clara is a very sweet girl. She gets along with other dogs and children. Currently we are not sure how Ms. Clara does with cats. Clara will be making a quick stop at the Hollywood Feed event on Saturday, from there she will join her new foster home for a little R & R.
