9/8/2017 Update:   Lucy was ADOPTED!!!  It is with great pleasure we are able to announce Lucy has found her forever home.

Lucy joined NBBR several months ago. This isn’t the first time Lucy has been in a Rescue. Four years ago she was rescued by her owner. Things were perfect, Lucy and her Mom where inseparable. Lucy was her Mom’s best friend and vice versa. But after a significant change in her Mom’s life she had to make the VERY difficult decision to allow Lucy to find a new forever home.  Lucy’s Mom had to take another job that required her to be away from home A LOT and she knew she would not have the time Lucy needed.  Lucy’s Mom put her feelings aside and did what she thought was best for Lucy.

Lucy hit the JACKPOT this week when she met her new forever family. She now has a new Mom, Dad, human sibling and new fur siblings.  One of her fur siblings is an English Mastiff puppy that is MANY, MANY times bigger than her but they get along so well. Lucy’s other fur sibling is another French Bulldog, what could be better??  As far as Lucy is concerned NOTHING. She is extremely happy and loving her new life.

Congratulations to Lucy and her entire new family.  We are so happy for all of you.

8/7/2017 Update:  Lucy loves the attention from her foster mom and siblings which to say is an understatement.  She is a total velcro dog.  Lucy loves sleeping with her foster family.  She has had a couple of accidents in the middle of the night especially if it’s been more than 6 hours since she’s been out.  Luckily, her foster dad was able to take her out before he leaves to go workout (which is around 4 or 5am), otherwise, she would need to be crated (something we haven’t done yet).

Lucy LOVES to go on car rides.  She is a jumper, anywhere, bed, sofa, anything within her ability.  With that being said, we try to minimum her jumping because we heard about Intervertebral disk disease (IVDD).

She is also an escape artist…  we kept her in the family room so we could do a slow introduction to our other Frenchie.  But she always know how to maneuver/move the gate just to be by her foster mom.  It is a work in progress, just when we think we got it down, she continues to amaze us.

Lucy is extremely smart and loving.  Please be ready for love overload!

7/31/2017 Update:  Lucy here… It’s my first week here with my foster family.  Dinner was absolutely delectable, I especially like the homemade chicken broth in my food.

I am getting along beautifully with my Mastiff sister who’s 5 times my size and weight.

Here I am on their (my) couch snoring away, in a very deep sleep, to the point that I almost fell off the sofa.  Luckily, my foster mom was able to catch me (as I vaguely remember) because I was in a such deep sleep, snoring away not realizing that I slipped.  I also like to sleep on my foster mom’s leg as she works.

I have a bad ear infection but it’s getting better.  My foster mom had to clean it out with LOTS Malecetic wipes and then apply my ear meds, it’s looking good.

I get my own sofa to sleep on.  What can I tell you, I am loving life!

7/20/2017 Update:   Please welcome Lucy to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. Lucy is a 5.5 year old female French Bulldog that weighs 21 lbs.

Lucy joins the NBBR family as an owner surrender.  This isn’t the first time that Lucy has been in a Rescue.

Lucy is a complete cuddle bug. She LOVES to sit in your lap but her MOST favorite thing is to get a belly rub. It doesn’t even matter if you are a complete stranger, actually we don’t think Lucy has met a stranger, Lucy will gladly allow you to indulge her love of belly rubs.  Lucy is a well taken care of French Bulldog that will steal your heart before you know it.  After a quick stay at her temporary foster home and a trip to the clinic, Lucy will join her new foster family to settle in and start her journey to find the perfect forever home. (Your home doesn’t have to be perfect, just perfect for Lucy).  Do you think you are the ying to Lucy’s yang?  If so, please complete an application, this beautiful mademoiselle won’t be around long
