8/26/2017 Update:   Mason was ADOPTED!!!! It is with great pleasure we announce Mason has found his new forever family.

Mason joined NBBR as a bulldog that had been bounced around in a very short amount of time. Having had two families in less than six months was somewhat confusing for him.  Mason’s second family only gave him a WEEK before they decided he wasn’t a good fit for him.  The commonality of both families was Mason was “too energetic”.  This is typical of a Bulldog puppy, those who have never had a Bulldog puppy think they are lumps that only lay on the couch.  Just like Mason and MANY others, that is not the case. Bulldog puppies have A LOT of energy and need proper training to learn how to behave and what is expected of them.   Mason’s new forever family understood this requirement. Not only did they understand what Mason needed, his energy is what drew them to Mason.  Mason hit the jackpot with his new family, he got a new Mom, Dad, human siblings AND a very playful fur sibling.  Mason’s human siblings are home schooled so he will have plenty of attention and love, and while his human siblings are doing their studies, he can play with his new Labrador sister.

Mason’s story is what Rescue is all about. From being bounced around from family to family in a very short amount of time, to being the apple of his new family’s eyes. He will no doubt be spoiled rotten and be showered with LOVE and attention.  Congratulations to Mason and to his entire family.

7/30/2017 Update:  Mason is starting to feel right at home with his new foster family. He is full puppy and definitely still needs to work on his manners. He gets along pretty well with his foster sister McGee and loves to play with his toys, especially his chicken. We are in the process of mastering  walking on a leash. Mason is almost potty trained; he goes on his dog bed every once in a while but is working hard to break the habit. Mason is great with dogs his size or bigger. He thinks that little dogs are his toys and needs to be separated from them. While he is just trying to play, he doesn’t quite realize how big and strong he is. Mason needs an energetic family that is willing to train a sweet, big, strong puppy.

7/12/2017 Update: Please welcome Mason to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. Mason is a 10 month old male English Bulldog that weighs 62 lbs.

While only 10 months old, Mason has already had two “forever” homes.  The latest owners purchased Mason from another family who was moving out of the country just ONE week ago.  Mason’s owners thought they were getting a young Bulldog puppy and were unprepared for the 62 lb. puppy they brought home.  Mason had no training and was just too big and too strong of a dog. His new family quickly decided Mason was too much dog for them. So, they contacted another rescuer and asked for help to find someone that would be able to find Mason a better suited home. The rescuer contacted NBBR and asked if we could help. We obviously said YES and the rest is history, as they say.

Mason will make a quick stop at the clinic to determine what, if any, medical attention he will need (besides his neutering). Once that is complete, he will join his new foster family.

When our volunteers met the previous owners to pick up Mason, they agreed he is a BIG puppy. However, he was overall well behaved and was very friendly and loving to everyone he met.  Mason will need to learn some manners (no more jumping) but that is to be expected with a Bulldog of his age.  Mason loves humans of all sizes, but can get easily excited and knock very small children down. This behavior isn’t intentional, Mason hasn’t realized just how big he is yet.  Mason appears to get along well with other dogs too.  With his rugged good looks and his eagerness to please, it shouldn’t take Mason long to find his forever home.  Stay tuned for future updates as we learn more about Mason.
