9/28/2017 Update:

Olivia has been ADOPTED!!!! We are so happy to announce that Olivia has found her perfect family.

Olivia joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family after being bounced around. She had been purchased by a family for the sole purpose of breeding and making money for them. When they realized that breeding/raising Bulldog puppies is hard work they decided to take Olivia’s baby away from her, put it with another nursing mother and sell Olivia.  That was almost three months ago. Olivia spent those months working on her manners and being able to control here sometimes out of control energy.  You see, even though Ms. Olivia is 4 years old, she has A LOT energy. So much energy that several interested families passed on adopting her because of her energy level.

Flash forward to Olivia’s adoption day.  Olivia now has two human brothers that she adores. This is a match made in heaven since her brothers have the energy to match Olivia We are sure that there will be LOTS of play time to help burn off some of her energy. She also has a cat and another dog sister, Sprite, to keep her company.  There was no looking back as she was ready to jump in the car and be off to her forever home.  Many more adventures to come Olivia! Congratulations to Ms. Olivia and the entire family.

9/18/2017 Update:  Olivia continues to be amazing. She is happy all the time. She has learned to be calm at home as long as her safe spot is available. She is still wild in the car and needs to be in a crate.  She enjoys morning snuggle time before work or whenever you are available to give her attention. She is house broken, 4 years old and a smaller bulldog at 47lbs. She gets along with dogs, cats and is friendly to everyone she meets. Come meet her this weekend at the Hollywood Feed Event in McKinney on 9/23.

9/11/2017 Update:  Greetings from Olivia! Olivia continues to gain confidence and is learning how to be a family member instead of a puppy mama.  She loves playing with her foster brother with ropes or in the pool. She is fearless and has never met a stranger. She is loved where ever she goes. She has fans at Hollywood feed, up and down my block and at her foster home. Olivia is still looking for a forever home of her own. She is 4 years old but acts much younger with a playful energy.  She is smaller in size at 45 lbs and is housebroken, mostly.  She loves people dogs and cats. She is a perfect bully.

9/4/2017 Update:  Olivia spent her Labor Day having a pool party with friends and foster siblings. She loves the pool and all the playtime. She kept folding it over maybe to give foster mom a message that she wanted tacos for dinner. Olivia is happy and healthy with a big personality and is looking for a forever home. She is four years old and smaller than the average bulldog. She has some puppy energy and would like a home where she could have lots of playtime. She gets along well with other dogs and cats too.

8/27/2017 Update:  Olivia loved all the attention and meeting everyone at the Hollywood Feed McKinney event.  She gave kisses to anyone that would let her. She was so tired she went right to bed when she got home. Olivia is a great, super cute bully that sometimes has a lot of energy. She is very playful and loves playing with her foster brother. She would probably be best in a home with other dogs or kids to help burn off some energy. She is happy with all toys now and has learned the sound of the cookie jar opening. She is loving her new life since being rescued and is making the most of it.

8/20/2017 Update:

Olivia has discovered toys this week and is very excited to take them all back to her bed.  She will tug on the rope with her foster brother as long as he is willing to do so. She is doing well and learning her place in the pack.  She loves her morning snuggles before work and evening ones after work. She loves treats and will take them from you and run off to enjoy them. She forgets when she eats ice cubes too fast she gets the brain freeze and zooms around the house until it passes.
Olivia is happy and healthy and looking for her forever home. She gets along with everyone and everything. She can be high energy at times but is learning to relax. She calms down when she feels comfortable. Please come and see her at the Hollywood Feed event in McKinney on the 26th.

8/14/2017 Update:  Olivia is doing great and is learning how to be a family member. She is learning to relax but still has energy to play with anyone that will let her. She has been busy this week with foster brother, Tatum. They love to wrestle and play bulldog games. She has learned about the swimming pool, sleeping in, the bulldog stink eye and looking sad when foster mom is eating so she gets a treat. She also loves ice cubes. When she gets one she will run and hide so no one else can take it. Olivia is healthy and ready for her next adventure in her forever home. She would do best in a home with people or other dogs to keep her company. She is small in size but makes up for it in personality.

8/5/2017 Update:  Olivia had a blast spending the week with Hercules and family. Today she went shopping at Hollywood feed and made many new friends. Some say they are going to fill out adoption paperwork. She seems to be calming down and most of the time she has been relaxed this week. She gets excited around others still so we will work on controlling her extra energy. She is very sweet and cant wait to find a forever home.

7/24/2017 Update:  Olivia has all her stitches out and is looking and feeling great. She is excited about her foster vacation this week. She got to go help out with a home visit and stayed busy with toys and pools. She is learning how to be a pet and can have a lot of energy at times. She will need a family with some patience in the beginning until she learns her place. You will be rewarded with kisses and unlimited snorts.

7/16/2017 Update:  Olivia really enjoyed meeting everyone at Hollywood Feed yesterday. She slept all the way home and was actually calm later that evening. She might have a middle gear after all. 😊

Olivia has a vet recheck this week and will probably have her stitches removed and will be getting closer to her forever home. She is a super happy dog that likes alot of attention. She is playful with dogs and cats and loves people. She is smaller at 47 lbs and the perfect size. She enjoys pools and taking bones away from her foster brother.

7/10/2017 Update:  Olivia has had a rough week. She has been back and forth to the vet for rechecks after surgery.  Its been a little over a week now and she seems to be healing nicely and gaining her energy back. She wants to play but needs to stay calm and heal at least another week. We are hoping she can be cleared for the event on Saturday. She would love to meet people and socialize with other dogs. Olivia like to play with ropes and tug on them with another person or dog. She doesn’t have much interest in other toys as of yet. I am not sure she ever had any.  She gets along with cats and dogs and everyone she has met so far.  She cannot wait to recover from surgery so she can get back to chewing her swimming pools and running around outside. She has alot of energy and is trying to discover everything that the rescue life has to offer. She will be ready for a new family of her own soon. She is very loving and would make a great addition to any family.

7/2/2017 Update:  Olivia sends thanks to everyone for sending her good vibes as she is recovering from her tail and eye surgery last Friday. She had a recheck with the vet today and everything is looking great. Olivia is either on 100% on or asleep so it is challenging to find and in between to allow her to heal. Olivia continues to be a joy to foster and will make a awesome companion for someone. She is a true bulldog, both fearless and stubborn all in a small package. She is beginning to test boundaries with the other dogs in the house but in a playful and no aggressive way. She gets along with dogs, cats and everyone she has met so far. We are continuing to work on some house manners and basic training. Happy 4th

6/25/2017 Update: Olivia is going great!  She has a lot of energy and loves to play with other dogs or people. She especially likes to play with ropes or swimming pools. I think she would rather chew on them than go swimming. She likes to ride in the car and meet everyone she can. She is super friendly and will give you tons of kisses if you let her. She is a smaller bulldog but has a big personality.  She has surgery for her tail and eyes on Friday. After recovery she will be ready for a forever family.

6/18/2017 Update:  Miss Olivia continues to recover from her previous life. She gets her stitches removed later this week. She is wanting to be with my other dogs and has little interest in cats. She is very playful and acts more like a one year old than a four year old.  She loves car rides and trip to Hollywood Feed. She also discovered the joy of the plastic swimming pool. She prefers chewing on them to swimming.

6/11/2017 Update:   Olivia did great with her spay. She is still being treated for tail pocket, ears and eyes. She is becoming more trusting and wants to be a lap dog. It’s good she is only 47lbs. She is small but all bulldog. She gets along with both dogs and cats and is happy with any attention you want to give. She might not be good with small children because she likes to jump when excited. We are working on that.

6/4/2017 Update:  Olivia’s surgery went great and she is recovering and settling in at her foster home.  She left the clinic with a bag full of medication for her eyes, ears, tail and skin.

She is a sweet girl and is doing well with her two fur foster siblings.

6/1/2017 Update:   Please welcome Olivia to the NBBR family.  Olivia is a 4 year old female English Bulldog weighing 47 lbs.

Olivia joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family as an owner breeder surrender.  One of our volunteers found Olivia for sale on Craigslist being sold on a “first come first serve” basis.  The bulldog community quickly raised the money to rescue Olivia from the life of a breeding female and fellow Bulldog loving friends headed out immediately to get her.  Once she was safe, they surrendered her to rescue.

Olivia was purchased as an adult earlier this year for the sole purpose of continued breeding by a family with zero Bulldog experience.  After Olivia was pregnant, they learned she would need a C-section and medication after the surgery.  The cost of owning and breeding a Bulldog was more than they had expected.  On May 11th Olivia gave birth to two puppies.  At that point, the family didn’t think Olivia was “worth it” so her puppies were put with another female dog they had that also had puppies around the same time.  And Olivia was put up for sale.

Olivia was taken to the clinic to determine what medical issues she might have. It was found that Olivia has dry eye, ear infections and an infection in her tail pocket (all have been untreated for some time).  Olivia will be spayed and placed on the necessary medications to ensure she heals properly.

Despite a life of being sold to numerous people as an income source, Olivia is a very sweet and loving Bulldog. Olivia is great with humans of all sizes. She also gets along well with other dogs and did not react to the resident cat at Dr. H’s office. Once Olivia is healed she will begin her search for the perfect forever family.  The family will be one that has HUGE amounts of love to shower on her and allow her to be the princess she should have been all along. No more birthing puppies for Olivia, just cuddling on the couch with her new family in her future.
