7/1/2016 Update:   Rocco was ADOPTED!!!  It is with the GREATEST pleasure we announce Rocco has found his forever family.

When Rocco joined Rescue he was a mess. He had cherry eye, tonsillitis, ear and eye infections. After getting his eyes surgically repaired and all of his infections cured, Rocco started charming his foster family with his ginormous personality. Rocco loves everyone, so finding a forever family didn’t seem like it would be difficult for Mr. Personality.

Rocco’s forever family is a second generation adoptive family with No Borders Bulldog Rescue.  Rocco’s new Mom and Dad’s son and daughter-in-law adopted the perfect Bulldog last fall. After spending time with their new “grand dog”, they fell in love with the Bulldog breed. The next step went from loving Bulldogs to wanting one of their very own.  They completed the adoption process several months ago and began looking for the right Bulldog.  Along came Rocco.  After reading his background and looking at his pictures, his new family decided they needed to meet him.

The Meet and Greet was this morning, and as you probably guessed it….. it was a match made in heaven. Rocco was immediately comfortable with both his new Mom and Dad. He played fetch, shared his favorite toy and taught them how to give the perfect belly rub (to his exact specifications).  It was immediately apparent Rocco will be spoiled rotten as his Mom had a seat all prepared for him right next to her in the car. Rocco will be the crown prince of his new home and all of us at NBBR couldn’t be happier for him and his new forever parents. Congratulations’ to the entire family

6/26/2017 Update:  Rocco is the just the cutest little guy ever. How cute is he with that little tongue out…all the time!

He is such a happy go lucky little guy.  He and loves loves loves his playtime…the louder the squeaky toy the better!
He is not a fan of the rain…and especially of the thunder that came along with it.  He wasn’t scared of the thunder….just barked to let us know he heard it and didn’t like it.
He has done much better this week with potty training. He had a couple accidents but less than last week so making progress.
Rocco continues to be such a fun house guest.  He is one great little guy with personality plus…and he is just so cute!.

6/19/2017 Update:  Mr. Rocco got his stitches out and the all clear from the vet today.  He is up to 42 pounds too and looking good!

This little guy is such a funny boy. He decided the tire float for the pool was dangerous so he attacked it…and had a great time doing it…and of course he won! He really loves a good game of tug-o-war or chase me you aren’t getting my toy. His favorite toy is a very loud squeaky ball…he will run all around squeaking it.
We are continuing to work on manners, he is learning but we have had a few accidents in the house.
He is such a joy…very sweet, funny, and extremely playful.

6/12/2017 Update:

The  first few days with Rocco have been great. This boy REALLY LOVES to play and has alot of energy… what a little clown! He has adjusted great…acts like he has been here forever. He will roll the ball and chase it himself when we are not playing with him.  He is such a sweet and funny boy. He walks great on a leash and loves meeting people and dogs in the neighborhood. He is not a fan that dog in the mirror though, he will bark at him til moved.  it’s not easy getting a good picture of him this boy is always on the move.
He is eating great and putting on weight. We are working on manners, He seems very smart, he knows how to sit and is learning to wait his turn for a treat without knocking his foster sisters down. He sleeps well in his crate all night, we even have to wake him up in the morning when the rest of the house is up and moving!
Rocco is an absolute joy and makes us laugh every day!

6/8/2017 Update:  Please welcome Rocco to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue. Rocco is a 22 month old male English Bulldog that weighs 31 lbs.

Rocco joins the NBBR family as an owner surrender.  Rocco was listed for sale on Craigslist. A good Samaritan Group were able to save him and surrender him to NBBR.  The good Samarian group realized that Rocco needed a family that could/would provide the necessary medical care that he needed and wanted to make sure he found a better suited family.

Rocco made a quick stop at the clinic and it was determined in addition to the cherry eye in both eyes, he also has an ear and skin infections and tonsillitis.  He will begin a course of antibiotics to get both his ears, skin and tonsil infections under control. While at the clinic he will also have his surgeries for cherry eye in both eyes and to be neutered.  After that he will be joining his foster family for a little R and R.

Rocco is a tiny little guy that is full of energy. While Rocco might be a small package he is definitely overflowing with personality. He LOVES people of all sizes, other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats as well. Sometimes his energy can get him in trouble due to the fact that he needs to be reminded of his manners. Rocco will be working with his foster Mom to polish those manners and become the gentleman we know he can be. This handsome guy will begin the next chapter in his life: looking for a new forever home.  With his rugged good looks and great personality he should have no problem.
