9/23/2017 Update:   Simon was ADOPTED!!!! It is with the greatest pleasure we announce Simon has found his forever home.

Simon joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family as an owner surrender.  Simon was purchased from a breeder and when the family took him home they found their two large cats (Maine Coon) did not like Simon at all. After working with all involved it was apparent things would not improve and he was surrendered in the hopes he would find a better fit as his forever home.

Simon did find the perfect home for him. His new parents had applied to adopt through NBBR several months back. While they were going through the approval process they also had the opportunity to rescue another puppy. So, when looking for a Bulldog to complete the family they wanted a young energetic Bulldog that could play with their puppy.  Initially during the Meet and Greet Simon and the puppy ignored one another. Neither of them seemed to be interested in the other, which was a concern. So, Dad started running with both of them and it was like a switch had been flipped, both boys immediately started playing and didn’t stop playing until the Meet and Greet was over.

To say Simon hit the jackpot with his forever family is an understatement.  Simon went from being a target for two very mean cats to a much loved member of his new family. He now has a new Mom, Dad and a canine buddy that he can play and grow old with.  Congratulations to Simon and the entire family.

9/18/2017 Update:  Simon had his meet and greet with his forever family this past Sunday. It looks like he will go to his forever home this coming Saturday at the event at Hollywood feed.  Simon has been an absolute joy. He is so loving, cuddly and playful.  We will definitely miss the little guy.

9/11/2017 Update:  Simon is doing great.  We are still working on potty training, he seems to be stubborn (must be his bulldog side) 😂. He has been enjoying the nicer weather and likes getting to come in and out of the house when it’s opened up.  He also love my pitbull Tank.

9/3/2017 Update:  He has settled in well.  He loves Freckles and Tank.  We are still working on potty training he is so loving and caring and is the sweetest pup, his big doe eyes will make you fall in love right away.  He loves kisses and playing in the bath tub water.  He most definitely has his way of sitting and eating and snores like any other bulldog.  He’s been doing really good with sleeping with us and doesn’t wake up at night.

8/20/2017 Update:   I picked him up on Saturday and he was a little weary of me but warmed up as we made our way to my house.  Once we got there he was introduced to is fur foster siblings and everything went great. They played and played until they couldn’t play anymore.  Simon is so handsome, sweet, loving and absolutely a cuddle bug.  He eats a little fast so he’s eating out of a puzzle bowl right now to help train him to slow down. We are working on potty training and he is doing great, only one accident so far and that was my fault bc I didn’t get him outside after his nap fast enough.

8/14/2017 Update:   Please welcome Simon to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family.  Simon is a 3.5 month old male Olde English Bulldog that weighs approximately 32 lbs.

Simon joined the NBBR family as an owner surrender. Simon’s family had recently purchased him from a breeder.  Unfortunately for Simon, his family also had two very large cats (Maine Coon Cats) and they HATED Simon.  The family tried to work with everyone to get them to get along, but the cat on dog violence escalated. It had gotten so bad, the family was worried the cats would claw Simon’s eyes and cause major damage. Due to this impasse, the family decided it would be best to surrender Simon and allow him to find a new forever home.

Simon is all PUPPY.  When he first met our volunteers he was scared and actually growled a bit.  As soon as Simon was in the car and the door shut, he became a different puppy. He was loving, kissing and a bundle of energy.  After a night at a temporary foster home it is apparent the loving Simon is the real Simon.  He LOVES everyone and can not get enough attention from those around him. He is very playful and loves rough housing with the other dogs in the house.

Even though his family said he was potty trained, it appears he needs some work.  Simon does slow down eventually and likes to cuddle on the couch.  All in all he is just a great little guy.  He will need a family willing to work with him on basic puppy skills (potty training, manners, etc.) but Simon is a very quick learner and wants nothing more than to please those around him.
