1/1/2019 Update:
12/3/2018 Update: Solomon here. We’ve had a fun few weeks. I got to go to four Thanksgiving dinners with FM and FD. I got a bunch of loving and treats. Then it was time to just lay around the house and not do anything. We had a few nice days of weather and we played out side. But then it got cold again. And started raining. We had a bad thunderstorm that scared me so I slept in my FM and FD bed. They said I was cute when I was scared of the storm. I think I found mine and my foster siblings Christmas presents in fm’s closet. She told me I couldn’t go in there because there were gifts in there. I also found out that the thing they call a towel is a good friend. It helps with scratches when I get out of the bath. Foster mom has finales this week so we wont be doing much but after that she just has work so we get to do a lot more I’m excited. Well that’s what we’ve been up too. How about y’all?
11/5/2018 Update:
9/17/2018 Update: Solomon here, so the past few weeks have been crazy for my foster family. My foster grandma was at a place called a hospital. Foster mom has been very busy between school, work, and me and my foster siblings. But we still have time to go jump in muddy puddles then go to sleep in the big chair. Foster mom says that this week we are going to the park and I get to play I can’t wait. I love the ride and dog park. And we get to go to see foster grandma at her house. Well that’s how I have been. How are you all doing?
8/27/2018 Update: Solomon here sorry we didn’t update you last week foster mom says that it’s been a long hectic week she and foster sister both started school it don’t sound so fun. Since they’ve started school we haven’t got to go do a lot of things like we normally do when foster mom just had work but it’s still funny cuz I get to go outside and play in the muddy puddles foster mom says it’s been too hot for me to go outside. so foster mom’s been walking me around on a leash and letting me play in the muddy puddles to make sure I don’t get too hot then we have to do bath time still not my favorite time of the day but I get lots of Lovins. I like to lay around and soak up the cold AC in foster dad recliner. That’s about all we do anymore is sleep eat and play. Foster mom says I look silly whenever she has to wake me up for dinner and a bath. Well that’s how I’ve been how have you all been?
8/13/2018 Update: Solomon here, foster mom has had a crazy couple of weeks she had to get foster sister ready for school and then she had her first day of first grade I don’t know what that means but it kind of sounds boring foster mom says every kid needs School when Foster sisters away I get to get up on the bed and roll around and have fun. Foster mom starts school next week that kind of makes me sad because then I don’t get to see her as much but foster dad will be around more and that means more tug of war games well that’s about as eventful as my 2 weeks have been how about ya’lls
7/28/2018 Update: Solomon here it’s been an odd week for me. FM and FD went to a place they called the beach and I couldn’t go with them so I had to go to a place that could babysit me. They were nice people but I missed FM and FD. I even tried to protest by getting on the kitchen table but that didn’t work. But since they have been back I’ve had a great time they brought me back a stuffed mermaid. It was cool till I chewed on it so much it kinda got broken. But that’s how my weeks been how has y’alls been?
7/7/2018 Update: Solomon here we have had a fun few weeks. FM and Fd went on vacation and I got to go with them. Foster mom said I did amazing. I got lots of loving from my foster grandpa. He bought me a lot of treats. I loved the car ride to hot springs Arkansas. I tried to drive a few time Foster mom told me I couldn’t. So I just had to lay there and it sucked till we stopped at a place Foster sis called Mickey D’s Foster mom told me I wasn’t aloud to have any of the food. But when I thought she wasn’t looking I got a fry it was so good I tried to chew up the bag when nothing was in it. Foster mom said that I was being silly. Fourth of July wasnt very fun. Foster mom kept me inside with the TV going but I didn’t like the loud noises outside. But Foster mom came in and sat with me so I wouldn’t be scared. Well that’s how I’ve been how have y’all been.
5/1/2018 Update:
2/27/2018 Update: Solomon here, Foster moms phone did something she called crashing not sure what that meant but that meant we were MIA for a couple of weeks. But it’s all good now she got a new phone and it’s funny listening to her ask foster sister and Foster Dad how to work it. At our house it’s been really really muddy because of all the rain when I go outside I always have to have a bath when I come in because I like to jump in the muddy puddles still foster mom just laughs at me I don’t care for a bath for the second time in one day. But other than that I’ve been a really really good boy so foster mom took me to the park this morning and let me run around what they call the dog park they had a concrete Barrel that I could go through a board that I can jump up on and run up on and play on and a thing that’s on a pole mom called it a tug-of-war rope so I played with it. It was fun. But unfortunately everything is Muddy right now so I had to have a bath again but it’s alright we had fun well that’s how I’ve been how’s everyone else been?
1/7/2018 Update: Hi guys Solomon here I’ve had a fun few weeks New Year’s Eve was awesome fm took me out and let me socialize with some of her friends. It’s been a busy few weeks for foster mom she had to work all the time it was sad I didn’t get all the love-ins I normally do but when she come home I got lots of Lovins and lots of treats because she felt bad for leaving me at home but because she was so busy at work I couldn’t go with her it made me sad. Other than that it’s just been playing around the house and jumping in muddy puddles I love muddy puddles. I also love helping foster mom put away the groceries even though my putting away the groceries is just tearing up the bags she thinks it’s cute I like to play hide and seek with my foster siblings I hide behind foster mom and when they find me I roll over on my tummy and lightly growl and then I have to go find them. Oh that’s how my week’s been.
12/24/2017 Update:
12/18/2017 Update: Solomon here today is Foster mom’s birthday and we got to get go and pick her out a toy well I picked me out a toy and kind of gave it to her since foster mom and Foster dad are going out of town for the weekend I have to be boarded I’m not so happy about that but it’ll be okay on our way to go get bored and I decided that I needed to sit in the car seat foster mom laughed at me but but other than that my week has been great we got to go see Santa I didn’t like him too much so I couldn’t get a picture with him I kept kind of running from me? Was kind of upset she said she wanted a picture of me and Santa but he still told me I was a good boy and I get lots and lots of goodies for Christmas well I hope everyone has a great weekend and great Christmas love you all
11/27/2017 Update: Solomon here I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving I got lots of lots of turkey I really love turkey. Foster mom gave me a thing she calls a carrot, they weren’t too tasty.
I got into a tussle with one of my fur Foster Brothers I had to go to the vet but the vet got me all fixed up with Foster mom’s help.
This coming week we get to go take pictures with Santa I am so excited foster mom keeps telling me because I’ve been such a good boy my stockings going to be stuffed full of good treats, so I’m really excited. I can’t wait to tell Santa everything that I want for Christmas, foster mom has had a cold for the past few days so I’ve been snuggling up with her making her feel better. I don’t like it when my human is sick cuz then they don’t want to get up and play and run around and jump around with me cuz they just don’t have the energy. I don’t like that so I’ve been laying next to her loving and kissing her trying to make her feel better. When foster mom was cleaning the house she raised the shades in the living room and I got to lie in the sun, it wasn’t like going outside and sunbathing but it worked she was laughing at me because while I was laying there, my cheeks were flapping when I was breathing she thought I was snoring but I was just being silly. She says I have a lot of personality I don’t know what that means but I guess it’s a good thing. I like to come up on the couch and then come on to the end table and lay on the end table foster mom says that I’m silly but she just don’t understand I’ve got a better view of the TV and I like it there it’s nice and cold I don’t get as hot laying on the in table as I do laying on the couch well I hope everyone had a good turkey day and the rest of the week love you all!!

10/30/2017 Update:
10/1/2017 Update: This week has been amazing. I’ve been such a good boy my foster mom hasn’t made me stay in my kennel. I get to run around the house with my foster siblings. I have learned how to stop when I’m told to or they say no sir. I can now sit shake and stay. I’ve been working really hard to do my best. I like to sleep with my foster sister but she has to get up really early. So i sleep in the clothes bucket. My foster mom and dad took me to get my own bone and some more toys (I got to pick them out). My foster mom bought me something called a costume I don’t know what that is but not sure what that is. We are going to go trick or treating i don’t know what that is but it sounds fun. That’s how my weeks been hope you all have had a great week as well. Its night night time. Goodnight everyone sleep tight
9/18/2017 Update: Solomon has had a good week. We are working on getting his separation anxiety under control. Hes learing to obey commands better. He still loves his fur sisters and brothers. He is still just as much of a big puppy. He loves to run and play. He does amazing while waking on the leash (even for me). Even though he loves to run and play he still loves to sleep more. He is not a big morning person at all. He likes it when we get to sleep in. He is getting better at not wanting to eat the farm animals. And if he wants love he is going to let you know. And if you cant reach him all you have to do is tell him and he will get as close to you as he can. Hes a ver sweet loving puppy, he just as a few issues from what he went through before the rescue.
9/11/2017 Update:
Solomon here
9/5/2017 Update: Solomon has had a funny week. He figured out that if he pushed my table chair just right he can climb on the counter to try and get to the treats on top of the refrigerator. He still loves to play. Gunny as this sounds his favorite person in the house is the one he was scared of at first (his foster dad). He is protective of the house. If its dark and you come in he will grab you by your shoe and Shake It. He has had a few hiccups throughout the week but we are trying to figure out what caused them. Hos tail roll has became irritated again so we are going to see the vet today and hopefully that explains a lot of his hiccups. He still loves to run and play. But for the most part he likes to run and just on us while we are sitting on the couch. Hes still a great big loving puppy.
8/27/2017 Update: Solomon has had an okay week. He pushed his way out of our back door and tried to eat one of our ducks. He loves to chew on things around the house if he doesn’t have his bone. We have got a new game he loves to play “where’s the bone?” He loves to run around after his ball. He has so much energy. Its really hard to get a good picture of him. Solomon is now answering to his name anytime you call it. He is so sweet and loving. When he’s done playing and its bed time he always give a big yawn. He loves his baby foster fur sister. They go everywhere together and play all day together.
8/14/2017 Update: This week has been fun. Solomon has had 2 baths. The fist one he wasnt sure he liked it. The one we had yesterday he loved it. He has found his favorite spot to sleep(in my dirty clothes bucket). He is no longer scared of men. He will go for a car ride with his foster dad by himself now. He loves everyone he meets. He love balloons until he pops them then he gets a sad face. We are taking him to pick out his own toy tomorrow. On a rainy day he just wants to sleep. He will now ask to go outside when he has to use the restroom. He no longer marks. In all this week has been amazing. Solomon has became the great big puppy he was always meant to be.
7/28/2017 Update: Please welcome Solomon to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family. Solomon is a 3 year old male English Bulldog that weighs 57 lbs.
Solomon joined the NBBR family from a shelter in south Texas. Solomon was taken to a shelter and surrendered without a reason, only that they could no longer take care of him. During the intake process Solomon was “reactive” when he was being vetted. This meant Solomon would not be eligible for public adoption, he either would need a rescue to help him or he would be euthanized. While Solomon was “reactive” at the vet, when he was with the shelter staff he was a complete gentleman. The shelter staff decided to work with him and try to find a rescue that would help. They moved Solomon to a foster home where he could be monitored. NBBR was contacted several weeks ago and asked if we could help.
It took several weeks for Solomon to make his way through the shelter system. He needed to be vetted and neutered before he could be released. While he was waiting for that to occur, Solomon was released from the shelter and went to settle in with his temporary foster family. The great thing about this was his foster Mom worked at the shelter and she was able to bring Solomon to work with her every day where he was able to interact with their puppy play group. Solomon did very well in this program.
Once Solomon joined NBBR he made a quick stop at the clinic to determine if there was anything he needed before heading to his foster family. It was determined that Solomon is in great health and joined his foster family earlier this week. It does appear Solomon was possibly abused in his past. He is very head skittish, meaning he will flinch if someone raises their arms around him.
Solomon has been a complete gentleman since he arrived at his foster home. He has settled in with his foster fur and skin siblings. He gets along with everyone, although he is still trying to determine if the cat is a friend or foe. He does seem to be more wary around men but he warms up quickly once he knows he won’t be hurt. Like almost all Rescue dogs, Solomon has “issues” that need to be addressed. He will need a forever family that is patient and able to work with him while he learns to trust humans again.
