6/17/2017 Update:   Wyatt was ADOPTED!!!! It is with great pleasure we announce Wyatt has found his forever family.

To say Wyatt’s time in Rescue was “unusual” is an understatement.  Wyatt joined the NBBR family when he found himself in the Tzu Zoo Rescue that wasn’t quite sure what to do with him and reached out to us.  Once he joined the NBBR family, he had surgery for his breathing issues and was neutered. He joined his first foster family and all was going well until a household emergency. Due to severe damage to their house, his foster family had to move into a hotel that did not allow dogs. So, Wyatt had to stay with a second foster family, which is unusual, typically a foster Bulldog will stay with the same family the entire time while in Rescue.

Wyatt’s new forever family’s rescue experience was somewhat unusual as well.  They completed the application process and were approved to become an adoptive family. However, when working with them to determine which dog might be “the one”, they ran into some issues. The issues being the first two bulldogs they expressed interest in already had another family schedule a Meet and Greet and were ultimately adopted.  This didn’t deter Wyatt’s family at all, and the day Wyatt joined NBBR and was placed on the website, his family immediately knew he was the one. After talking to his foster parents, it was decided a Meet and Greet was in order.  They hoped the “third time would be a charm”.  Well…. you guessed it, the third time was the charm and it was love at first sight for the entire family.

Wyatt not only got a new Mom and Dad in the deal, but a human sister and brother as well. Wyatt will be the only dog in their home and he will no doubt be spoiled.  Congratulations are in order for the entire family.

5/28/2017 Update:  Please welcome Wyatt to the NBBR family,  Wyatt is a 2 year old English Bulldog that weighs 58 lbs.

Wyatt joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family as an owner surrender.  Actually, another breed specific Rescue called us to ask if we could help them with an English Bulldog that had been dropped off with one of their volunteers.  So in the matter of minutes, we had our newest member.  We have limited information available on Wyatt, but we did find out that he was from a breeding program.

Wyatt’s first stop was to the clinic to give him an once over and determine what, if any, medical issues he might have. After a check-up it was determined that Wyatt desperately needs to have his soft palate shortened  He currently is a very heavy breather and susceptible to overheating and potential heat stroke.  He also has infections in his ears, eyes and nasal folds.  Wyatt was put on several medications to help combat his infections and is schedule to have his palate surgery next week.  In the meantime, Wyatt is resting comfortably in his new foster home.

Wyatt is a typical Bulldog in everyway. He has a silly, quirky personality that you can’t help but fall in love. He loves humans of all sizes and other dogs.  Wyatt’s one “issue” is that he is NOT a fan of the “C” words, yes Wyatt does not like cats.  Based on this small “issue” Wyatt will need a feline free environment to be truly happy.  Since he just joined Rescue last night we will know more about this little guy as he gets more comfortable with his foster home.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers this week as he has his surgery and begins the healing process.  Once healed, he will be ready to find his new  forever family. With such a handsome mug and great personality, we are sure it won’t take long.
