12/28/2024 Update:
Molly has been ADOPTED!!!! What is a better Christmas gift than landing your forever home? NOTHING.
Molly joined the NBBR family via a shelter. Molly (not her original name) was found as a stray and taken to the shelter by Animal Control. While in the shelter Molly was scanned for a chip. It was found that she DID have a chip. The shelter called the registered owners to reunite them with their pet. The family never returned the calls. The shelter then went a step farther and went to the address that was on the microchip information and tried to contact the family. No one was home, so they left a written message on the door again, hoping to reunite them with their pet. After multiple attempts with no success the shelter determined that Molly had been dumped, and the family no longer wanted her. They contacted NBBR and asked if we could take her in and find her a new forever home. While we are almost always at compacity, we did have a new foster home that was a perfect fit. So, we coordinated the necessary transport (Molly was in a small shelter not local to DFW) and Molly officially became the newest member of NBBR. Molly’s first stop after joining NBBR was the clinic to determine what care was needed. Molly had bilateral eye ulcers (one in each eye) So, her second stop was the Doggie Ophthalmologist. As suspected Molly had corneal ulcers and very low tear production. The Ophthalmologist stated that the ulcer appeared to be old. Molly also had some other issues like the beginning of arthritis, and some issues with her back leg. All of that was investigated, and appropriate treatments were started.
Personality: Where do we start? Good golly Miss Molly is a bundle of energy. She is very active, and her knee issue does not slow her down in the least. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was a “hot mess”. But with some patience, working on her potty training and loving her back to health Molly is a completely different pup. While Molly does have some “baggage” from her previous living situation and lack of quality care, that hasn’t stopped her from thriving. Her gait has improved dramatically. We believe this is partly due to her treatments and the exercising she has been doing. We believe that Molly may have been a “crate dog”, meaning that in addition to her congenital issues she wasn’t allowed to properly exercise and build up her muscles. Speaking of building up muscle, Molly has added about 4 lbs. since joining NBBR. She still has a zero to 100 to zero energy level. She is at 100% output until she isn’t. While Molly was chilling in hopes that she would find a new forever home for Christmas.
While Molly was chilling, her forever family was following her on our socials AND they thought that Molly might just be the perfect fit. Mind you, just because an applicant thinks that a particular pup might be the fit, they still have to “complete the process”. So, they began the process to see if indeed they were a good fit. They completed all the steps and finally had a meet and greet. Molly and her new Mom and human sister had already met at a previous event. BUT the big test was, would Molly’s new canine sister give her the stamp of approval? Well, you guessed it, YES: Molly’s canine sister gave her the paws up AND YES: they are a GREAT fit for Molly. So Molly’s Christmas wish list was complete. A new forever home complete with a mom, a human sister, and three furry siblings (one dog and two cats). And with that said, Molly’s holiday season was complete. Santa really came through this year for Ms. Molly. She is one happy pup and truly hit the holiday lottery this year. We are so happy that this is the first of many more joyous holiday seasons for Molly and her entire family.

BREAKING NEWS: Our favorite Frenchie fashionista took a brief intermission from her social calendar last weekend! Molly had her “luxury spa treatment” (aka spay surgery) last week, and was strutting her stuff in the season’s hottest recovery wear – a gorgeous purple surgical suit that’s totally giving royal vibes! Who needs a cone of shame when you can rock haute couture?
This pint-sized package of pure joy wants everyone to know she’s living her best life alternating between her two favorite activities:
Professional toy enthusiast (certified in squeaker demolition)
Professional couch potato (PhD in snuggle studies)
Now, let’s talk about our brave little queen’s health journey! While Molly’s back legs aren’t candidates for surgery, she’s starting a fabulous new wellness routine with weekly Adequan shots for the next month, then transitioning to monthly treatments. X-rays show she’s dealing with some hip dysplasia and arthritis like a true champion – but don’t let that fool you! This resilient girl doesn’t let anything slow down her zest for life and love.
Looking at her prancing in the grass in her purple ensemble, you can see her incredible spirit shining through! This little love bug continues to prove that good things come in Frenchie-sized packages.
Stay tuned for more adventures of Molly the Magnificent – coming soon to an adoption event near you! (Once she’s done with her fashion show, of course.)

Miss Molly By Golly continues to blossom! She is still a little mouthy but doesn’t bite humans. She playfully chomps gently on other dogs, making her seem even more of a little pup than a 2 year old. She is very little. 17.5 lbs

Miss Molly By Golly is a spunky little monster ball of energy until complete exhaustion.

Please welcome Molly to No Borders Bulldog Rescue. Molly is a two-year-old female French Bulldog that weighs approximately 15 lbs.
Molly joins the NBBR family via a shelter. Molly (not her original name) was found as a stray and taken to the shelter by Animal Control. While in the shelter Molly was scanned for a chip. It was found that she DID have a chip. The shelter called the registered owners to reunite them with their pet. The family never returned the calls. No one was home, so they left a written message on the door again, hoping to reunite them with their pet.
As you can tell by the pictures, Molly has an ulcer. So, her second stop was the Doggie Ophthalmologist. As suspected Molly has a corneal ulcer and very low tear production. The Ophthalmologist stated that the ulcer appears to be about 3 weeks old. The good news is that the shelter had started her on meds and the Ophthalmologist stated that the ulcer is healing. We were given several medicated drops and care instructions. Other thing that was noted is that Molly has an “unusual gate”. The clinic stated that she has luxating patella, and a pretty bad case. Dr. H stated that it appears that her patellas are not moving currently and are in the “wrong” position. We have scheduled some follow-up testing (x-rays) to determine if Molly is a candidate for surgery OR if this is a congenital issue. Molly was brought up to date on all the necessary vaccines and checked for Heartworm and fecal parasites (all negative). A general inspection found Molly in pretty good shape, so she was released to join her foster family.
Personality: Where do we start? Good golly Miss Molly is a bundle of energy. She is very active, and her knee issue does not slow her down in the least. She does tend to want to take frequent breaks to relax, especially on her walks. Molly seems to really enjoy grass, especially rolling around in it. Personality size she is HUGE. Physical size she is tiny. At yesterday’s event Molly is about half the size of her Frenchie counterparts. Molly appears to get along well with other dogs, however she can be a little annoying in that she is relentless in wanting to play. It will be best if Molly’s forever home has another dog, and that dog is a very laid-back pup. Molly joined her foster family last weekend and is currently settling in and learning the new routine. Stay tuned for more information and updates as her foster family learns more about her and what exactly makes her tick.
