9/8/2026 Update:

Littles is a 5 year old, 50+ pound English Bulldog. She has a longer snout than other bulldogs we have had, and breathing on our walks is always easier for her than the other two. She does have some normal bulldog skin issues and her tail pocket is not the easiest to keep clean. Other than being a little high maintenance, and a bit overprotective, Littles is the best goofy dog.

Littles’ legs are really long, so she reminds me of Bambi trying to stand on ice sometimes. Like her legs when she runs or jumps just kind of go all over the place. She does excited spins, gives big kisses, and LOVES playing catch. She also likes cuddling, belly rubs, and laying in bed. Littles is taking more time to fully adjust and get comfortable than Tito. More and more of her personality keeps coming out, she is learning to play better with other dogs, and it is so fun to watch her progress.

8/24/2026 Update:

Foster parents have had to be out of the house a lot more than usual this week. We have left all the dogs out while gone before but never for an extended period until recently. We set up some puppy cameras to watch them, and I couldn’t be more proud!

We have been working on playing with toys more with Littles. She gets so excited and tries to contain the crazy; it is cute watching her try to hold it together. If she is the only dog, then we can play fetch for a while. When they are all together, we can’t play fetch yet because she is too protective. We have been able to let each of them play with their own toy while in the same room; fetch just isn’t the best idea because multiple dogs chase after the same toy and ramp up the meanness to win.

Littles had the best time chasing foster dad around in the backyard while he pressure washed some stuff. She bit at the water, the wand, the tires… you name it. Her excitement was so cute; my husband ended up power washing more than planned.

8/10/2026 Update:

Pupdate from Littles foster family –

Littles has turned into an even goofier dog somehow! She is learning how to play more gently with everyone. Now that she knows a couple ways to play without getting in trouble, she wants to play all the time! 

I really think she just doesn’t know how big and scary she can be to other dogs. It makes them react differently and then she reacts differently and things escalate. Figuring out how to play more gently is opening up a lot of possibilities for her and she is really enjoying playing with her friends!

Littles is immediately sweet and gentle with all humans other than not always knowing her size when she wants to stand in your lap and give you kisses. It is only other dogs when things have worried me. But she has made so much progress already in the short time we had her, so I’m confident she will keep learning how to play better!

Littles loves it when you cuddle forehead to forehead with her. She also loves our bed so much, I’ll occasionally find her laying in there by herself. She’s a great dog!

8/3/2026 Update:

Today’s update is a Littles/Tito bonded pair combo update. 

Littles is a not so little English bulldog. Her legs are long and sometimes it looks like she doesn’t fully understand how to use them. When she runs it’s like a baby deer still trying to figure out her stride. Her goofy spins and runs when she gets excited are so fun to watch.

Tito is a Frenchie/English mix and his build is pretty much the opposite of Littles’. When laying on his side, it often happens that NONE of his little legs are touching the ground! Don’t let the short legs fool you though, when he knows it’s bath time those laps around the house are impressively fast.

Littles is slowly becoming more affectionate. She’s still the most independent of the group, but she slept cuddled up to me in bed for the first time last night. I even caught her butt to butt with our other dog Bertha which is a big step for her.

Tito and Bertha on the other hand cuddle with each other all the time. I think Tito would cuddle with whoever else wants too, human or dog (after he calms down and gets used to them at least).

The excitement that comes with meeting new people is something we are still working on with Tito and Littles both. New people have to pretend like the dogs don’t exist for a while before giving them any attention. Tito goes too crazy for attention and then Littles gets mad at Tito for going crazy… so that is something we are trying to avoid and work through.

Overall they are both WONDERFUL dogs. No accidents in the house, they don’t chew or destroy things, and they are always happy to spend time with you. They are silly and sweet and will make perfect  additions to the right families.

7/27/2026 Update:

All things are looking up on the Littles front. This week we have been playing with toys more and have found some new treats she likes. She loves these new developments as evidenced by her super expressive ears and face.

Toys are something Littles was possessive over when she first came to us. We have been working with her on it, and she has made so much progress. This week we were able to have toy time with everyone together, and it went so well! 

We still pick up the toys when everyone gets warn out, not comfortable just leaving them out yet. That’s our next goal, and I know she will be able to do it.

Something sad we figured out about Littles this week is that she is afraid of belts. My husband had a pile of clothes on the floor (of course), and she wouldn’t go near it. She growled at the pile, and at first I thought maybe she’s afraid it’s another animal. But we moved the pile around to figure out what the issue was, and the belt was clearly the problem. I can only think of one reason for that… and it breaks my heart. 

Littles is a perfect dog, and she deserves the world. These dogs all deserve to be happy, so foster or adopt if you are able. I promise it will change their world and yours!

7/20/2026 Update:

7/12/2026 Update:

Littles came to No Borders Bulldog Rescue with some skin irritations and an ear infection. Most of the skin problems have cleared after switching away from chicken food and giving baths with medicated shampoo. There is one patch on her back where the hair had been rubbed off by a tightly fitting harness. The vet said the hair probably won’t grow back in that spot, but you barely notice it and she wears it with pride.

Littles is a perfect angel in the bath. Putting her ear drops in is easy as well. I’m too chicken to try cutting her nails, so she is going to have a spa day this week for that. She doesn’t take medicine as easily as the others, just folded in a piece of cheese. She’s too smart, and knows what is going on there. Instead we have a wet food topper for their food and if we put the pill in there she will eat it.

Playing with toys with Littles is kind of scary. If other dogs are around, she gets too possessive, so we have only tried playing alone so far. She is never aggressive at all towards humans, she is just bigger and faster than she realizes. 

She had the zoomies while playing and when she jumped in a chair, the whole thing tipped backwards! Luckily she was able to surf it down and the chair landed on a big dog bed for cushion. She loves playing fetch and does cute spins when she is having fun. Then she will run and jump from furniture piece to furniture piece if we get her too excited, so we are funding the right balance there.

Littles cuddles every once in a while, but most of the time she sleeps on her own. There are currently 2 humans and 3 dogs at my house. Recently we have been sleeping 4 of us in the bed and then Littles stays on the couch. She is more independent than everyone else, at least when it comes to sleeping.

If going to a house with no other dogs, Littles is already perfect for adoption. She is house broken, cooperative, healthy, sweet, and goofy. For being with more animals, she needs some more training. It goes well with the three dogs currently, but we don’t really let them out of our site and we have to be careful about toys and over stimulation. 

Most of the time, Littles acts older than her 5 years of age. Tons of naps, slow movements throughout the house, and the slowest pace while on walks. Every once in a while though, little puppy energy comes out and she vibrates with excitement. While Tito runs full laps around the house when he’s in go mode, Littles runs and jumps from living room chair to couch and back again in a tornado of cuteness.

6/21/2026 Update:

Please welcome Littles to No Borders Bulldog Rescue.  Littles is a 5 yr. old female English Bulldog that weighs 50lbs.

Littles and her “brother” Tito joins the NBBR Family by way of owner surrender.   Their family has had some recent changes and on top of those challenges, they are expecting another human baby.  Couple all these things together with the economy, they were unfortunately unable to continue to provide the time and care necessary for the dynamic duo.  They reached out to us and asked if there was any way that we could help AND if possible, keep them together.  Initially, that wasn’t possible as we only had one open foster family and they did not feel that they could take on the responsibility of two rescue pups at this time.  So, we proceeded with taking in one and put the other on the waitlist, definitely not ideal but our hands were tied.   BUT at the 11th hour, prayers were heard and a new foster family applied.  They had been following us for some time and felt like “this was the time”.  After discussing the options, the family decided that they would take Littles AND Tito.  So after many “Are you sure”, “Are you really sure”, Are you really, really sure”.  They said yes, and we proceeded with bringing both pups into our program. 

The first step for Littles is a stop at the clinic to get a general exam.  Littles came up to date on vaccines and looks to be in pretty good shape.   She is spayed so that is a plus. She has not been on Heartworm preventive so we will be checking that and hopefully she is negative.  Since summer is a busy time for Rescue, (let’s face it EVERY season is a busy time for Rescues), the clinic was backlogged on appointments so Littles will be making a visit early next week. 

While Littles and Tito “may” be a bonded pair, like all siblings they have their moments and will squabble about things they don’t see eye to eye about.  There are two areas in particular that they squabble over, the first is FOOD.  Like most bulldogs, they are very food driven, some may say obsessed.  Due to that, they have to be fed separately or there will be “discussions” had.   The other is human attention; they are very jealous of one another especially when one feels that the other is getting more than their share of the attention.  The good news is that both are easily redirected and household peace remains intact.   Littles is timid at first when she meets new people but quickly warms up to everyone.   She is the calmer of the two as Tito is “all boy” and definitely has the “Frenchie energy”.  She does very well on a leash and is potty trained.  Currently Littles is adjusting to the new routine and doing very well.   At this point we don’t have a lot to report beyond this as her foster family is taking things very slow in introducing her to new things and giving her plenty of time to acclimate.  Stay tuned for more information as she settles in and becomes more comfortable.
