12/20/2017 Update:

Honey was ADOPTED!!! What better present for the Holidays for Miss Honey than her very own forever family?

Honey joined the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family when her previous owner surrendered her due to the fact they could not afford much needed medical treatment. Honey had a very bad case of double cherry eye and needed to be spayed.

Honey actually met her forever family the first day she met her foster family.  Her foster family had signed up for our Foster to Adopt program. This meant that they had been approved to be an adoptive family but decided they would foster until they met “the one”.  They knew almost immediately when they laid eyes on Honey she would be “the one”.  It didn’t hurt that Honey walked into their house and immediately acted as if she owned the joint.  While Honey might be a petite little Bulldog, she is overflowing with personality.   Within the first few minutes she was introduced to her new parents she had already won over their hearts.  Honey is now the apple of both her parents’ eyes.  Congratulations and Happy Holidays to Honey and her new parents.

12/5/2017 Update:   Please welcome Honey to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue. Honey is a two year old female English Bulldog that weighs 37lbs.

Honey joins the NBBR family as an owner surrender.  She was a gift to her previous owner. Due to disabilities and not being able to afford the surgeries that Honey needed, her family made the decision to surrender Honey.

Honey’s first step was to the clinic. It was very apparent that Honey would require surgery on both eyes for cherry eye. Honey has a very bad case of cherry eye, so much so that approximately 50% of both of her eyes are obstructed.  In addition to her cherry eye surgery she will be spayed.

Honey may be petite in size but she has a big personality. It appears that she has never met a stranger. Upon meeting our volunteer she quickly decided it was time to go and went directly to the car, where she quickly called shotgun and settled in for the ride to the clinic. During the trip she did get a little restless and decided it was time for some Bulldog kisses.  At that point it was time for a pit stop, so while our volunteer was pumping gas, Honey decided it was time for Bulldog balancing tricks. She quickly jumped up on the console between the seats and declared herself “Queen of the Car”. Honey walks well on a leash and seems to get along well with everyone she meets (both human and canine).

Honey will join her foster family tomorrow to settle in for some much needed R&R.  Once she is 100%, she will begin her search for a family that is looking for a petite lady with a larger than life personality
