5/14/2021  Update:

Millie has been ADOPTED!!!!   Silly Millie has found her forever family and started the next chapter in her journey.

Millie (names have been changed to protect the innocent) joined the NBBR family as an owner surrender via way of abandonment.  Millie was left with a “friend” so that they could watch her for a few days.  At the end of the few days, her previous owner stated he did not want her any longer. The family that was watching Millie knew that they did not have the capability to provide her with the life she needed. There were many reasons: first, they lived in an apartment that only allowed small dogs and Millie was too big. Second, the lady that was watching her had two jobs and wasn’t able to devote the time necessary for a Bulldog puppy.  She felt this was unfair for Millie and asked NBBR to take Millie and find her the forever home that she needed.

When Millie joined her foster family, she quickly gained the nickname “Silly Millie”.   Sometimes it appears that she has split personalities.  During the day she is WILD and CRAZY with the energy of 5 Energizer bunnies.  At night, she is calm, quiet and only wants to cuddle.

Millie’s new family is perfect for her. They are young with lots of patience AND energy. Not only are Mom and Dad patient, Millie’s new foster sister (canine) is as well.   Sometimes, it is difficult to find other dogs that are tolerant of puppies with the energy level of Millie.  Millie actually had a previous meet and greet with a family and their Bulldog. Unfortunately, their Bulldog was having NONE of Millie’s energy.  Did this make Millie sad?  No, it made her more determined to MAKE him like her, which made him like her even less!!!  This isn’t the case with Millie and her new sister, they LOVE to romp, play and wear each other out.  This was a match made in heaven for all involved and we couldn’t be happier. Congratulations are definitely in order for the entire family.

1/25/2021 Update:

Hi Y’all!
Silly Millie, here! It’s been awhile, so I wanted to give everyone an update & check in! Today I’ve been enjoying the beautiful sunshine ☀️ It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten a beautiful sunny day, so I’ve been taking full advantage & taking in some nice rays with my foster sister Macie💕 🐾 In fact, we played so hard outside, we both enjoyed some cuddle time on the couch in the evening🥰.

I’m super excited for spring so I can enjoy even more outdoor playtime💕
I’m not your typical bully, I have endless amounts of energy! I could play all night if mom & dad would let me, but they say I’m a growing gal & need my beauty sleep 💤

If you are looking for the perfect playmate & you have another fur baby that enjoys playtime as much as I do, I may be your gal😁🐾💕
Whelp, It’s feeding time…so I’m gunna get my grub on😋 Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Until next time,
Millie 🐾

12/14/2020 Update:

Silly Millie checking in!
Just wanted to show off my Christmas sweater & playtime with my foster sis💕 🐾
It’s been a fun filled week! FM & FD got a new fence so we were cooped up in doors….which was super hard! Being silly inside is not as fun as being silly outside. I absolutely love the cool fresh air blowing through my ears as I’m frolicking in the yard.💕🐾 & the guys building the fence kept saying how adorable I am. & I must say, it’s always cuteness overload with me 😁🐾

FM & FD keep talking about Santa Paws 🎅🏻 Not exactly sure what to expect, but I know toys & treats are involved so it must be great😍 Oh & I’m still searching for my furever family….but I do have needs! You must love my silliness & energy, I ain’t your average bully, I don’t require a lot of sleep….just a lot of love, snuggles & playtime. I also would love another playmate. I do really well with other dogs who want to play💕 & also I’m good in my crate but don’t want to be locked up all day, it really hinders my silly time. Well anyhow, if you think I would be the perfect addition to your family let’s schedule a play date🐾✨

Kisses 💕
Millie 🐾

11/17/2020 Update:

Happy Fall, y’all! It’s Silly Millie! Have you seen all the snacks falling out of the trees?! My foster mom calls them “leaves.” Whatever. They’re delicious! Life has been great here in foster land. I fill my days with walks, naps, and plenty of playtime with my foster dog sister! I’m super excited about Thanksgiving because I hear there’s lots of food! I hope everyone has a great holiday! Bye for now!

11/8/2020 Update:

Hi There! Millie (the Silly🤪) here!

I’ve been super busy playing with my foster sister & practicing my best manners so I’m the best behaved fur baby in my new home🐾 FM & FD are very impressed on all my hard work! Although I am very silly & love being the center of attention, I’m also a good snuggler! Don’t get me wrong, playtime is my FAVORITE time, but when you need someone to keep you company on the couch, I’m your gal!💜

So if you’re looking for someone to add fun, excitement, love, & laughter into your life….I may be the PERFECT fit for you🐾💕 I’m loving my foster family, but I am still longing to find my permanent home🏡  Hope someone out there reads this & just knows I’m the one for them🥰 Whelp, time to go do rope battle with my foster sis!

Much Love!
Millie🐾

10/18/2020 Update:

Hey Y’all it’s me, Millie (Silly Millie)!
I’m just writing to thank everyone who made the special visit to come see me in the Truckyards! 🐾  Boy, did I have a good time!!! There was so many fun people that came up to pet me & tell me how pretty I was, I truly felt like the belle of the Truckyard Ball🥰✨🐶

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! FM & FD keep complimenting me on what a sweet girl I am.  FM really likes when I decide to be less silly & more cuddly. She loves when I take naps with her….I truly give the best kisses & cuddles🥰🐾 …..but of course my favorite mode is SiLlY🤪 My foster sis LOVES playtime with me….but when we get too silly we have to go outside….not enough indoor room for all my silliness 😜 So if there’s anyone out there who is looking for a playful pup, who is also good at cuddling, I’m your gal! 🐾💕 I would also love if you already have another fur child, cause I’m very extroverted & would love to have a companion when you’re not home.
Whelp, time to go be silly!!!!
Love Always 🐾💕,
Millie

10/4/2020 Update:

Hello World! It’s me, Millie🐾
I know a lot of y’all have been interested in meeting me, so I’m hoping to be at the Truck Yards in the Colony on Saturday for the NBBR Event!!! So if you are wanting to see my adorable self & all my silliness in person, I hope to see you there😁💕🐾 This week has been great! FM & FD had friends over & I got to show off my fetching skills & how me & my foster sis can play for hours & hours! Everyone kept saying how cute, sassy & confident I am! Whelp, I’m going to take advantage of this beautiful weather & frolick in the backyard!
💜Millie

9/27/2020 Update:

Hey, everybody! It’s Silly Millie! Phew! What a week. As usual, I’ve been doing tons of playing and goofing around with my big foster sister dog! I know I’ve said it before, but I sure do hope my forever family has a big rowdy brother or sister dog for me to play with. The last couple of weeks have been a little ruff for me. I had a tummy issue and had to go see the vet for a little while. And then I had surgery to fix a little problem with my eyes, but no worries! I’m back to my lovable bouncy self! My potty training has gotten a lot better and I’m learning to walk on a leash! I love all the neighbors, the kids, and ALL THE DOGS! I get along with pretty much everyone. Well, I got playin’ to do! Bye!

9/20/2020 Update:

Hi Y’all! It’s Millie….also known as Silly Millie …at least that’s what FM & FD call me🤪Just wanted to give an update to all my admirers out there! I’m doing well & adjusting to foster life quite well! I love my new home, but love my foster sister most of all🥰 we play ALL day!!! One of my favorite games is tug-a-war!

For anyone interested in giving me a forever home, there’s a few things that would make me the most happy….I LOVE toys!!!!! So the more toys you have for me to play with the better😁 I’m also still a puppy so I have an endless amount of energy! I would probably do best with a family that has another dog (or 2) that would want to play with me. I love getting attention from humans as well….so the more love you have for me, the happier I am! I’m quite the social butterfly so please take me places & include me in your family events & gatherings! Well, the outdoors & foster sis is calling my name so bye for now!!! 💜 Millie

9/17/2020 Update:

Hey everyone! It’s Millie! What a fun week! The weather has been amazing so I’ve had lots of outdoors time! I really like to walk but I LOVE playing with my foster sis (a dog)! I really hope my forever family has a playful dog too! Big news! I had my spay surgery and everything went great! The doc said I should have been groggy for a few days, but I was back on my bully feet in no time. I’ve gone on lots of walks and meet all the neighborhood kids, and I really like kids!!! My potty training is coming along but I still have a few rare accidents that I’m working on. I hope all the other fosters and bullies are having as much fun as me! – Millie

8/24/2020 Update:

Please welcome Millie to No Borders Bulldog Rescue. Millie is a one year old English Bulldog that weighs 41 lbs.

Millie (names have been changed to protect the innocent), joins the NBBR family as an owner surrender via way of abandonment.  Millie was left with a “friend” so that they could watch her for a few days.  At the end of the few days, her previous owner stated he did not want her any longer. The family that was watching Millie knew that they did not have the capability to provide her with the live she needed. There were many reasons: first, they lived in an apartment that only allowed small dogs and Millie was too big. Second, the lady that was watching her had two jobs and wasn’t able to devote the time necessary for a Bulldog puppy.  She felt this was unfair for Millie and asked NBBR to take Millie and find her the forever home that she needs.

Like all new NBBR intakes, Millie’s first stop was the clinic.  While Millie arrived with a lot of things, vet records were not one of them.  So we knew she would need vaccinations and a Heartworm test at minimum. The good news is that Millie is a healthy little girl (except for a few minor “Bulldog” things).  She tested negative which is a HUGE relief. Millie did however have infections in her eyes, ears and intestines. Millie also has entropion. Entropion is when the eyelashes turn into the eye and cause irritation. Due to the COVID-19 backlog we were unable to get her scheduled to be spayed/entropion surgery until mid-September. So in the meantime, Millie will be treated with antibiotics for the infection and drops for the entropion. Other than that, Millie got a clean bill of health and was ready to join her Foster family.

Millie is ALL puppy, she is very excited to see everyone. She knows 100% that EVERYONE is there to see her (even when they might not be). Millie seems to like everyone she meets regardless of age, size or species (she hasn’t been exposed to cats yet). After receiving her clean bill of health, Millie joined her foster home. She has a bigger, older Foster sister (canine) with whom she hit it off immediately. Other than foster sis, it is just her and Foster Mom and Dad, and Millie had them eating out of her paws before they even got home. We are sure there are going to be some entertaining stories to come as Millie starts her journey to find the forever family that is perfect for her. Notice, she isn’t looking for the perfect forever family, but the forever family that is perfect for her. With her girlish charm and stunning beauty…..the line of those smitten with her has already started to form!
