4/4/2018 Update:

Preston was ADOPTED!!!  We are extremely excited to announce Preston has found his forever family.

Preston joined No Borders Bulldog Rescue as an owner surrender.  Preston had only been with his previous family a few months when they determined they could not afford to keep him due to his health issues. Preston was a gift for his Mom. She had always wanted a Bulldog and when her family found Preston for sale cheap, they thought it was a sign.  However, when they got him and took him to the vet he was diagnosed as being Heartworm positive and he had a severe UTI.  Couple that with his family already having two other elderly dogs, and they were forced to make the very difficult decision to allow Preston to find a new forever home where he could get the care he needed.

Preston actually meet his forever family when he tagged along with his Foster Mom on a home visit to approve a potential adoptive family. Preston was scheduled to be adopted by another family and was only there to “hang out”.  The Home Visit went well and the family was excited to learn they were approved. They quickly asked if Mr. Preston was available, they had fallen in love with him during their quick encounter. It just so happened Preston’s previously scheduled adoption did not work out and he was available.  The family quickly asked if they could schedule an official Meet and Greet with Preston to spend more time with him.  Preston’s new Mom felt it was a sign he was available and they were convinced he was the Bulldog for them.  The Meet and Greet was a HUGE success. It was official, Preston had found his new Mom and Dad. Preston will be an only child. This will be a PERFECT situation for Preston. Although he gets along with most all other animals he meets, he will have no problem being the center of attention. Congratulations to Preston and his new forever parents.

3/18/2018 Update: Things have been quiet for Preston.  Just being lazy around the house while I work.  He’s been sleeping with me and freckles more while fur foster brother and human foster brother sleep together.   He is enjoying this time very much.  Other than that just relaxing and enjoying the nice weather.

3/11/2018 Update:

Preston here,
I wanted to let everyone know how much fun I had at the event Saturday (except for that big dog that kept barking) foster mom held me really tight and I was able to calm down quickly. There were so many fur friends to play with and humans to love on me. I have to say I was a little exhausted and slept the whole way home. Sunday and Monday were also very restful, I just felt like playing with foster fur sister today.  Foster mom says we are taking another trip this weekend. I super excited to see where we are going.

3/4/2018 Update:  Preston is enjoying his lazy days sleeping beside FM as she works. Preston’s day starts bright and early at 6:00am when he’s letting FM know it’s time to go out and it’s time to have breakfast, then him and foster sister play and running enjoying the morning weather. That last about an hour then it’s being lazy for the most part until foster sister decides it time to play again, then it’s fun in the sun mid morning.  FM leaves the back door open so he can run in and out.  Preston will be at the event this weekend where he has a scheduled meet and greet.

2/27/2018 Update:  Preston here, I have to say this last week was sooo boring. Me and foster sister couldn’t go outside and play because of all the rain. One time when I went out to potty me and foster sister played in a water puddle so then we had to get a bath. I found out I don’t like blow dryers so foster mom kept me wrapped in a blanket to keep me from getting to cold. Today I am enjoying the nicer weather. Foster mom leaves the back door open so we can run in and out. Foster sister keeps barking at this thing foster mom is calling a squirrel but it doesn’t bother me and the birds are nice too.

2/20/2018 Update:   Preston here,

I am a happy energetic little guy. I love being with my people. When FM is working late I love lay beside her and just relax. The last few nights FM has made it so I can start sleeping with her, she is really trusting and I haven’t had an accident and I am sleeping really good. I’m not much of a cuddler when it’s time to go to bed, I like to stay close but not too close.  I have met a couple of stuffed animals and well let’s say that me and FS have had a lot of fun and then they go away so FM says I do better with toys that are hard for me to tear up.  I am looking forward to my forever home. I’d say as long as it’s like it is here, I’m going to be one happy boy!

2/8/2018 Update:  Preston here…… Sorry FM hasn’t sent an update lately, she said she was waiting for my eyes to be pretty again from my surgery.  I had entropion  surgery along with being neutered.  I am feeling so much better, I’ve been playing with my foster sister a bunch and since FM is working from home full time I’m getting a lot more outside time and I’m sleeping better now that I’m getting some energy out.  Hope everyone is having a fantastic day.

12/24/2017 Update:    There really hasn’t been anything exciting going on.  Preston saw Dr. H a couple weeks ago for his second round of heart worm treatment.  Preston is still on “rest” duty which is starting to be difficult.  I think he’s getting tired of being excluded from play time etc.   He has played with his foster siblings a few times but they all don’t know when it’s enough so the he’s back in “rest” which consist of him going in a different room and calming down.  At night he sleeps in a kennel bc when I’ve tried to let him sleep with me he’s wonders and I don’t know if he’s a chewer when left to his own will.   Preston is sweet, loving and full of energy.  He gets along great with his foster sister who is also an English bulldog and foster brother who is a pitbull.

12/3/2017 Update: Simon here, the last two weeks have been uneventful.  I have been enjoying my time with my foster mom. She has been getting to work from home a lot more so I get to spend my days being lazy on the couch or playing for a few minutes outside with my foster siblings.  I like be my foster sister but my foster brother is bigger than me so I don’t like him much.  Foster mom says I’m gaining wait and mentioned something about getting my back to the doctor to get a check up.

11/19/2017 Update:  It’s been another uneventful week wee for Mt. Preston.  He’s enjoying relaxing and getting loves.  We’ve been keeping him calm and relaxed while still having heart worms. He does get to go outside and play for a few minutes with fs Freckles bc he has tons of energy that is racing through him.  Preston is very sweet and loving and just wants to be beside

11/12/2017 Update:

Not too much to add about Preston.  He’s been the same kennel rest doggy, when he’s out he’s 100% When he’s out a few times a day and run around in moderation (which is hard), He loves his foster sister but isn’t to fond of his foster brother, they pretty much run around and then ignore each other.  Trying to keep him on kennel rest is becoming challenging.  I think he’s getting tired of it.  Otherwise he’s doing great.  I’ll try to get pictures this week.  He tends to not sit still when he’s out. I’m sure it’s because he’s trying to burn off his energy.   He’s loving and sweet.

11/5/2017 Update:  Preston here, I am enjoying my foster home and my foster siblings.  This week has been restful and I haven’t been able to play much because of my heart worms and being on kennel rest. I did get to go to foster moms boyfriends and play with his bulldog.  I like to cuddle and rub all over the blankets when I lay on the couch or in foster moms bed.  I have learned to sit and stay for the most part and working on shake and taking my treats easy.  I had fun Saturday although I was a little carried away with my foster cousin Tyson.

10/25/2017 Update:  Preston is so sweet and loving.  He hasn’t been able to play much because of his heart worm treatment and being on kennel rest.  He knows how to sit and is easy taking treats.  He is getting along great with his foster fur siblings.  When he’s beside you he just wants to love and be rubbed. I am working on his marking issue but I think once  he is able to be neutered that it will help it too.

10/23/2017 Update:   Please welcome Preston to the No Borders Bulldog Rescue family.  Preston is a 4  year old male English Bulldog that weighs 45 lbs.

Preston joins No Borders Bulldog Rescue as an owner surrender.  Preston had only been with his previous family a few months when they determined they could not afford to keep him due to his health issues. Preston was a gift for his Mom. She had always wanted a Bulldog and when her family found Preston for sale cheap they thought it was a sign.  However, when they got him and took him to the vet he was diagnosed as being Heartworm positive and he had a severe UTI.  Couple that with his family already having two other elderly dogs, they were forced to make the very difficult decision to allow Preston to find a new forever home where he could get the care he needed. After joining the NBBR family, Preston made a quick stop at the clinic to start his heartworm treatment.

Preston is a very sweet lovable little guy. He has a very gentle nature and loves nothing more than to cuddle.  This will come in very handy for him since the next 60 days will be filled with crate rest and gaining much needed strength. Preston has settled in nicely with his foster family and is getting along well with his new fur siblings.  Stay tuned for more updates as we learn more about Mr. P as he prepares himself to find the forever family of his dreams.
