9/8/2026 Update:
Tito is a 7 year old, 45 pound bowling ball of a Frenglish Bulldog. He is our first male dog, and I’m definitely understanding what they say about boy energy now! He tries to burrow all the way under or into bushes and plants on our walks. He must mark everything that sticks out of the ground 6″ or higher, even if it is just a branch that fell to the ground. And once or twice a day he goes full crazy mode, running around the house, hopping and barking, and rolling on his back side to side for no reason.
Tito is so much fun to spend time with because you just never know what he is going to do next. He likes to be a lap dog, cuddle, and give the sweetest kisses. Then 10 minutes later he has stolen one of my house shoes to run around the house with. Tito really likes shoes… I was worried because he has picked up non-house shoes for this ritual as well, but he is actually really gentle with the shoe itself thank goodness. Haven’t been able to find any teeth marks or issues, so we haven’t made him stop. It is adorable, and we love seeing whatever he comes up with next.
8/24/2026 Update:
Foster parents have had to be out of the house a lot more than usual this week. We have left all the dogs out while gone before but never for an extended period until recently. We set up some puppy cameras to watch them, and I couldn’t be more proud!
Tito loves his spot in the living room chair. He fits so perfectly and uses the arm rest as a pillow. The sunlight shines through a skylight onto a certain spot on the couch, and he claims that spot as well. He will cuddle with the other dogs sometimes, but mainly our dog Bertha. She seeks him out to sit on more than the other way around, but Tito puts up with it and likes her.
I have a couple of bruises from Tito jumping onto the couch directly into my lap. Both my sides were open where I was expecting him to jump, but I got a surprise Tito instead. So stinking cute. I hope he makes jumping into my lap like that our thing. I’ll be more prepared next time, of course!

8/10/2026 Update:
Pupdate from Tito’s foster parents – Tito is really starting to understand the routine. He doesn’t ever try to bother his “sister” while she eats and doesn’t get too distracted by her eating anymore either. Littles eats in her kennel and Tito eats in the same room. They are in eyesight of each other and during mealtime they used to spend half their time eating and the other half growling. That hasn’t happened in a long time and I don’t even have to lock Littles’ kennel anymore to keep everyone safe during meals.
Tito does great with the doggy door other than occasionally he forgets how to come back in for some reason. Most of the time he gets a running start to barrel outside and explodes back in the doggy door the same way. Just really have to keep an eye on him to make sure he’s not outside for too long.
Tito cracks us up every day with his love of life and bull in a China shop energy. He loves to play bite your hands and sit in your lap even if he doesn’t fit. All in all, he’s a great dog!
8/3/2026 Update:
Today’s update is a Littles/Tito bonded pair combo update.
Littles is a not so little English bulldog. Her legs are long and sometimes it looks like she doesn’t fully understand how to use them. When she runs it’s like a baby deer still trying to figure out her stride. Her goofy spins and runs when she gets excited are so fun to watch.
Tito is a Frenchie/English mix and his build is pretty much the opposite of Littles’. When laying on his side, it often happens that NONE of his little legs are touching the ground! Don’t let the short legs fool you though, when he knows it’s bath time those laps around the house are impressively fast.
Littles is slowly becoming more affectionate. She’s still the most independent of the group, but she slept cuddled up to me in bed for the first time last night. I even caught her butt to butt with our other dog Bertha which is a big step for her.
Tito and Bertha on the other hand cuddle with each other all the time. I think Tito would cuddle with whoever else wants too, human or dog (after he calms down and gets used to them at least).
The excitement that comes with meeting new people is something we are still working on with Tito and Littles both. New people have to pretend like the dogs don’t exist for a while before giving them any attention. Tito goes too crazy for attention and then Littles gets mad at Tito for going crazy… so that is something we are trying to avoid and work through.
Overall they are both WONDERFUL dogs. No accidents in the house, they don’t chew or destroy things, and they are always happy to spend time with you. They are silly and sweet and will make perfect additions to the right families.

7/27/2026 Update:
Tito, AKA: Titorious, AKA: The Titorious P.I.G., AKA: Tito the Hutt, Mr. Bitey Hands, Uncle Fester, and so many more! This boy has personality (maybe a couple of them), leading to the multiple nicknames! He loves to eat, cuddle, roll on his back side-to-side going crazy for no reason, play bitey-hands, and run full zoomie laps around the house – probably in that order.
We have a giant dog bed Tito is obsessed with. Multiple times a day you find Tito in there rolling around on his back, side-to-side, just having the best time all by himself. Sometimes he will bark a little during his crazy time, but I’ve also seen him fall asleep mid-crazy. It is all adorable and entertaining, because you just never know what cute thing he is going to do next.
The lawn guys came on Friday and we didn’t notice until they had already started into the backyard. Tito uses the doggy door and we hadn’t closed it, so he decided to go make new friends. He got out of the gate the guys had open for the mower and into our driveway. Luckily Tito really just wanted friends, because he easily followed the guys back inside the yard.
Tito LOVES people. He hasn’t met anyone with us yet who he doesn’t consider a friend. All dogs deserve to have friends in their corner, so foster or adopt if you are able! I promise it will change their world and yours!
7/20/2026 Update:
In the eyes of Tito, the 7 year old distinguished gentleman – Mornings start with breakfast which I obviously eat every bite of. They keep me in my own room to eat which sucks because I want to eat everyone else’s food too. That baby gate is evil and I vow to knock it down again.
After breakfast we go on a short walk. My favorite part is when they put my leash on. I really think I’d do just fine on my own, so I bite the leash to try to take myself on a walk. My foster parents are no fun and take the leash back though and hold it where I can’t reach it. While on walks, I straight up ignore any passing dogs, because they are obviously beneath me. Humans are always welcome to come pet me though. I like being worshipped.
After our walk I sleep on the couch, bed, or under the desk at foster dad’s feet. No matter where I am, if I roll over the peasants will rub my belly. I have them wrapped around my paw, maybe a little too well, because sometimes they even wake me up to love on me. Don’t they know naps are a very important part of the day!
I reward all my foster parents efforts with kisses and farts. I keep it a surprise day by day which one they will get more of. They make noises and cover me with a blanket when I toot, so I know they appreciate it.
Around 6:30 everyday is my me time. My foster parents don’t let me play with toys very often because it upsets my “sister,” Littles. But that’s okay, I can find my own toys. So far I have played with a bath mitt, lots of shoes, and a plastic bag that they really freaked out about. Sometimes I bite the blankets or pillows too. Can’t wait to see what I find to play with tomorrow!
8:00 is my second favorite time of the day because it’s dinner! I scarf down my food so I can get back to the living room with Bertha. Bertha is my foster parents’ dog, and I swear she is totally obsessed with me! I keep telling her I’m twice her age, but she won’t listen. I lay down and she wants to lay down right next to me! I guess she’s not so bad.
Something else new this week is I have slept on two different beds, the couch, and the living room chair. I can’t decide which one is my favorite, but I like having the options. I burrow my face under pillows and blankets to play or to cover up. Sometimes it works better than others, but it is fun and I like to be cozy.
On Thursday they took me back to that weird place where I try to bite people so they give me something that helps me sleep. Hey, if someone was shining bright lights in your eye that hurts, you would try to bite them too! But I overheard them say I don’t have to come back for 6 to 12 months because I am doing so great. I knew shoving my entire head into bushes to smell things was going to pay off.
Hopefully this week it isn’t raining so we can go back to the park. Every single one of those bushes and trees is mine, and I need to make sure everyone still knows that! Pooping in public is against my beliefs, but I always have more trees, shrubs, and fire hydrants to mark. So let’s stop yapping already and take me for a walk!
7/12/2026 Update:
Tito has made so much progress in the short time he has been with No Borders Bulldog Rescue. He arrived in a cone he had been wearing so long the hair on neck had been rubbed off and the skin was so raw, wound care was needed. Now, happily out of the cone, the hair is all growing back in so well! There is still a weird green stain on some of the hair around his neck from the wound care cream they were using, but it is getting less noticeable over time.
Tito also arrived with a drain placed in his ear because he was starting to get cauliflower ear. The ear had puffed up with blood and could harden that way, so the drain helped everything come out. The vet took the drain out, and you can barely see where it was now.
The most major issue Tito is overcoming was a puncture in his left eye. The tear in the tissue is healing over nicely and the doctor said he may even have a little vision on that side. From thinking the eye may need to be removed to how well he is doing now, has been a great progression.
Tito has two modes. Sleeping and cuddling or zoomies. When it’s cuddle mode, sometimes he likes to be under the blanket beside you, in your lap even though he doesn’t fit, or he’ll take some time to himself on dog bed, chair, or couch. Zoomies often includes rolling back and forth on his back and surprisingly fast laps around the house.
Bath time was a little tricky. The girls got baths first so he knew what was up. He would sprint away any time we got within scoop him up distance. His memory faded fast enough and once he wandered near the bathroom we were able to get him into the bath. He’s still really anxious during baths so we have to keep them really short but he is doing so good.
We have also been slowly introducing toys this week. Tito and Littles who he was surrendered with, will fight over any toys, guarding resources. So we have play time with them separately right now. Tito has played with toys with the other dog in the house and it has been fine. Resource guarding has only been an issue so far when Littles is involved.
Tito loves everyone he meets. He is sweet and funny. He is house trained and can use a doggy door. Getting overly excited and manners when meeting new people are the things we are working on with him now, but I know he is going to be the best companion for whoever adopts him!
6/24/2026 Update:
Please welcome Tito to No Borders Bulldog Rescue. Tito is a 7 yr. old male Frenglish bulldog (French/English mix) that weighs 50lbs.
Tito and his “sister” Littles joins the NBBR Family by way of owner surrender. Their family has had some recent changes and on top of those challenges, they are expecting another human baby. Couple all these things together with the economy, they were unfortunately unable to continue to provide the time and care necessary for the dynamic duo. They reached out to us and asked if there was any way that we could help AND if possible, keep them together. Initially, that wasn’t possible as we only had one open foster family and they did not feel that they could take on the responsibility of two rescue pups at this time. So, we proceeded with taking in one and put the other on the waitlist, definitely not ideal but our hands were tied. BUT at the 11th hour, prayers were heard and a new foster family applied. They had been following us for some time and felt like “this was the time”. After discussing the options, the family decided that they would take Littles AND Tito. So, after many “Are you sure”, “Are you really sure”, Are you really, really sure”. They said yes, and we proceeded with bringing both pups into our program.
The first step for Tito was an emergency stop at the Ophthalmology Clinic. We aren’t vets but the correct medical term for cases like Tito’s is A HOT MESS. Tito arrived with a cone of shame, a very inflamed eye, and a drain in his ear and that is just the beginning. The main concern was the eye. While it looked bad, his previous family had taken him to the vet and they had started treatment. There was mention that he may lose that eye. So, off to the Ophthalmologist he went. Luckily for us, we have used the Ophthalmologist many times over the years, and they helped us to get an emergency appointment. We received good and bad news; the bad news is that Tito has lost all vision in that eye. The good news that they eye is healing and he may be able to keep it. Currently he is under the care and has a follow-up appointment to determine the next steps. IF it is healing and there is no signs of long-term infection or issues moving forward, the goal will be for him to have two eyes. The other good news is that his vision in the other eye is very good, so there shouldn’t be any major issues with him being able to navigate the world. in addition to all of this, Tito was not up to date on vaccines, hadn’t received heartworm preventive so he will be accompanying Littles to our regular clinic to address these issues. He is neutered, so that is a plus. Since summer is a busy time for Rescue, (let’s face it EVERY season is a busy time for Rescues), the clinic was backlogged on appointments so both pups will be making a visit early next week.
While Tito and Littles “may” be a bonded pair, like all siblings they have their moments and will squabble about things they don’t see eye to eye about. There are two areas in particular that they squabble over, the first is FOOD. Like most bulldogs, they are very food driven, some may say obsessed. Due to that they have to be fed separately or there will be “discussions” had. The other is human attention; they are very jealous of one another especially when one feels that the other is getting more than their share of the attention. The good news is that both are easily redirected and household peace remains intact. Tito is a wild child and plays rough. One thing on his agenda is to learn some manners when interacting with new friends. He likes to chew on fingers. He isn’t mean or aggressive, but he could take his play energy down a notch. He is all boy and likes to rough house, even while wearing the cone of shame. He goes full bore at all times until he crashes. He isn’t the best yet at navigating the “cone” as there are a lot of bumps and rerouting for him to get where he wants to be. He sees no shame in the cone, and it doesn’t slow him down at all. Tito does pretty well on a leash and is potty trained. Currently Tito is adjusting to the new routine and doing very well. At this point we don’t have a lot to report beyond this as his foster family is taking things very slow in introducing him to new things and giving him plenty of time to acclimate.
