12/6/2023 Update:

Tonks has been ADOPTED!!!!!

Tonks joined the NBBR family as an owner surrender.  Tonks was part of a bonded pair (See Remus).   Tonks’ surrendering family had some changes to their family that wouldn’t allow them to care for Tonks (and Remus) any longer.   So, they called NBBR to see if we could help find the pair a new home.  Tonks first stop after joining the NBBR family was the vet clinic. We got nothing but good news.   Tonks was up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and in tip top shape.  Tonks was spayed and released with a clean bill of health.  Tonks (and Remus) are actually liter mates, so not only are they a bonded pair, there has never been a time the other wasn’t there. Due to this we had promised everyone involved that they will stay together.  Tonks is your typical French Bulldog.  She has the energy and crazy personality that comes with the territory.  She is very well behaved and enjoys the company of every human she meets.  Tonks is a spunky little gal that is full of energy.  While she and Remus obviously get along, they need slow introductions where other dogs are involved.  Tonks does very well on a leash and likes car rides.

Finding a forever home for a Rescue bulldog can sometimes be a challenge, but finding a forever home for a bonded pair of Rescue bulldogs can be even more of a challenge.  It takes a very special adoptive family to open their home and hearts to two bulldogs. This is exactly what we found for Tonks and Remus. The pair hit the jackpot with their new forever mom.  Having had previous Bulldog experience, she knew exactly what to expect.  When forever mom applied, she was thinking she wanted two pups, but her plan was to adopt one and then at a later point she would adopt a second.  When she met Tonks and Remus that plan went out the window and she decided that adopting both at once was the new plan.  We couldn’t be happier for all three. Congratulations to the entire family.

3/14/2023 Update:

Tonks has settled in and claimed her space. The weather change has had the entire house up and down with allergies and cold symptoms. She’s gained a few pounds because she now eats all of her food and then creeps over to her brother’s bowl and helps herself to his. She got a new harness and when it’s time to put it on she gets so excited. Tonks loves to go outside or on our walks. She still loves being cuddled and all of the attention.

2/10/2023 Update:

Cold and wet weather makes for restless days and lots of sleep for Tonks. She has spent the last week napping all over the house. Tonks does not like the snow. She has reduced her potty time in half. Tonks misses her walks and has substituted them with running through the house and wrestling with her brother.

1/16/2023 Update:

Tonks Is going through a clingy phase where she needs lots of attention and snuggle time. Her routine is very consistent. She’s up early and is a ball of energy. She eats her breakfast and after a few zoomies she down for her nap. She gets so excited when its time for our afternoon walk and once it’s over she out like a light for a few hours. She likes to spend a little time wrestling around with her brother before she settles down for cuddle time before bed.

12/19/2022 Update:

Tonks is an early riser and full of energy. She had a cold for a few days and spent most of the time snuggled in her blanket or next to her brother. Now that she’s feeling better she enjoys chewing on her favorite bone or horseplaying with her brother. She gets so excited when it’s time for our daily walk. Tonks is very affectionate. She loves to cuddle and back rubs.
