8/2/2026 Update:

Walter has settled into his new foster home very well. He is getting use to our daily schedule and we’re still working on potty training. He was a dream on the long driving trip to the foster home.

Personality & Quirks:
Walter is a sweet and loves belly rubs. He listens very well, but his favorite activity is playing with Willow. They are very close and have a wonderful connection. He is part-time snuggler and loves food. He was hesitant on trying new snacks but realized he loves all snacks.

Social & Training Skills:
He is incredibly sweet with people he meets. We are still slowly introducing him to other dogs and my granddaughter. So far he’s been very great with younger children. He is incredibly food-motivated, which makes training him easier.4

Needs in His Forever Home:
Because Bulldogs are prone to overheating, Walter will need an air-conditioned home and shorter, casual walks rather than strenuous runs. He would thrive best in a home with a family that can offer him a comfy dog bed, lots of hugs, kisses and plenty of love.

We are so excited to see him find his “furever” home and are happy to answer any specific questions his future family might have

7/11/2026 Update:

Walter loves the sun! Even with the rising temperatures he still enjoys sunbathing as long as foster mom will let him. He has changed locations and has moved from the hot cement to a spot on the grass or outdoor rug. He is rewarded with frozen banana pieces as a treat for going to the bathroom outside and enjoyed some watermelon too!

Walter finished up medicine for his UTI. He had already finished heartworm treatment but we are waiting one more week to start our walks- temperature pending, of course. However, his energy is back and Willow is so happy to have someone to chase and play with.

We continue to work on potty training. There is just one stretch in the afternoon that we struggle with. Overall, Walter is an absolute love bug! All you have to say is belly rub and he immediately stops whereever he is and rolls right over
